Bridges’ poster is among the more than 300,000 entries sub- mitted worldwide in the 11th annual Lions International Peace Poster Contest. Out of all the posters created by Kings Mountain Middle School stu- dents, Bridges’ entry best por- trayed the contest theme, “Planting the Seeds of Peace.” Kings Mountain Lions Club President Joe Hardin said he was impressed by the amount of effort exhibited by Kings Mountain Middle School stu- dent.s “It is obvious that these young people have strong ideas of what peace means to them. Pearson not only excels in the classroom, but also in athletics.
