The parked car, owned by Charles Lee Odems, 117 Lake Montonia Rd., was slightly damaged. fied rt Barat JAN. 20 : A vehicle which left the scene struck a 1996 Plymouth operated by Deana Francis, 3 21 Chestnut Ridge Road. The accident hap- pened at Carpenter and King Streets. JAN. 21 Three people were treated for in- juries after a three-car pileup at the traffic light at King Street and Country Club Road. Ptl Gary Yosser said a 1986 Buick operated by Helen Hamrick, 355 Patterson Rd., struck a 1996 Dodge Van oper- ated by Lynn Aderholdt which struck a 1997 Ford truck operated by Jeffrey Thompson, of Shelby., both vehicles owned by Transportation Administration of Cleveland County. Damages were estimated at $8800. JAN.23 A 1993 Plymouth Van owned by Debra Reedy, 481 Alex Owens Dr., was damaged $700 while parked at Harris-Teeter on King Street. JAN.25 A 1989 Pontiac operated by Jada Jackson, 107 Woodall Dr., struck a 1997 Nissan truck operated by Kenneth Hutemann, Gastonia, at a traffic light on East Gold Street. Damages were estimated at $2250. JAN. 26 Jerry Wade Carpenter Jr., 40, of 414 Crystal Lane, Shelby, was treat- ed at Cleveland Regional Medical Center after he was struck by a 1984 Maxima operated by Tyrone Davis Moore, 101 Pennant St. Ptl. S. N. Wray said Moore was traveling north on S. Battleground Avenue and struck a 1986 Chevrolet truck Operated by William Mitchell oore, 204 Creekside Court, Bessemer City, at the traffic signal on S. Battleground, backed up and rolled over the pedestrian. Charges are pending and the investigation is continuing. JAN. 27 A 1997 Ford truck operated by Faye Williams Matthews, 378 Dixon Dairy Rd., struck a parked 1993 Chevrolet truck owned by Jill Romnek, 807 Third St. The accident occurred on Third Street. Damages were estimated at $1500. Order of Confederate Rose to meet in Kings Mountain North Carolina Society Order of Confederate Rose will meet ‘February 11 at Loui’s Family Restaurant, Highway 74 Business, Kings Mountain. ~The meeting will be held at 7:15 p.m. Those attending the supper should gather at 6:30. The organization is open to anyone 10 years of age and old- er, regardless of lineage or gen- der. It is a non-racial, non-politi- cal, and non-sectarian civic group.
