Warren Sr. He
was also pre-
ceded in death
by his brothers, Freelove Byers
and Joe Lee Warren, and his sis-
ter, Betty King.
He was a graduate of
Compact High School and at-
tended college in upstate New
York. He was a licensed me-
chanic and was employed by
FMC Lithium. He was a mem-
ber of Galilee United Methodist
Church where he was a trustee,
usher, and a member of the
men’s choir and hospitality
committee.
He is survived by his wife,
Guynéetha Warren; sons, Daryl
O’Keith Warren and Tony Falls
of Kings Mountain and Samuel
Falls of Greensboro; daughters
Kimberly and Paulette Warren
and Felicia and Mapple Falls,
all of Kings Mountain; sisters,
Pauline Smith and Doris
Adams of Kings Mountain,
Pearl Warren of Passaic, N.J., .
Frances Warren of Bessemer
City, Debra Warren and
Zenobia Reid of Gastonia;
brothers, Freddie Warren of
Kings Mountain, Clarence
Warren Jr. of Newark, NJ; four
brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-
law, nine grandchildren, three

The funeral was conducted
by Pastor Clarence Wright
Saturday at Galilee United
Methodist Church. Burial was
in Mountain Rest Cemetery.

She is survived by her daugh-
ters, Debra J. Jones, Brenda J.
- Thompson, and Mary J. Parker
of the home; sons and daugh-
ter-in-law, Rev. Buddy and
Doris Jones Sr. of Grover, Bobby
Jones Jr. of White Plains, NY,
Charles and Dennis Jones of
Kings Mountain, and Carl Jones
of the home; sisters, Margaret
Alexander of White Plains,
Virginia Alexander of Mt. Kisco,

High Point; 32 grandchildren
and 31 great-grandchildren.

2 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh
AME. Zion Church. Burial was

Drive, died May 10, 1999 at
Cleveland Regional Medical
Center, Shelby.
A native of Cleveland
County, he was the son of the
late Daniel James and Bessie
Grigg Cobb. He was also pre-
ceded in death by his son,
Ronald Eugene Cobb.
He was a retired independent
truck driver and a member of
Allen Memorial Baptist Church,
Grover.
He is survived by his daugh-
ters and sons-in-law, Patricia
Ann and Don Allen and Doris
and Johnny Winstead, all of
Kings Mountain; brothers,
Herman Cobb and Jack Cobb of
Kings Mountain; sisters, Eula
Mae Cobb of Hayesville and
Viola Stroup of Kings
Mountain; six grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral was conducted
by the Rev. Keith Cobb at 3 p.m.

Center.
A native of Kings Mountain,
NC, he was the son of the late
Janie and John Turner Carroll,
and husband of the late
Katherine L. Carroll. He was a
member of West Side Baptist
Church and was a retired truck
driver.
He is survived by his sons,

Fort Prince Memorial Gardens.

Printing and Finishing
Company with 25 years of ser-
vice and a member of Catawba

Hospital.
A native of Mt. Holly, he was
the son of the late Leonard and
Carrie Saunders Mathis. He
was also preceded in death by
his brother, Oscar Mathis; and
sister, Ethlene Brown.
He was a World War 1 veter-
an of the U.S. Navy serving
aboard the USS Thornhill, and
sswas a member of Grace United
~ Methodist Church. He was re-
tired owner of Kings Mountain -
Aircraft and was a member of
various aviation groups.
He is survived by his wife,
Virginia Hooker Mathis; daugh-
ters, Debbie Shields and hus-
band Eddie of Charleston, W.
Va., and Sandy Bradley and
husband, Jonathan of Gastonia;
sister, Pauline Abernathy of Mt.
Holly; four grandchildren, Kris
and Kevin Bradley of Gastonia,
Sharron Moses of Charleston,
W. Va., and Shannon Moses of
Kings Mountain; step grand-
children, Robbie Shields of
Kings Mountain and Jerry
Shields of Pineville; and one

Handy Pantry Store 82 in Kings
Mountain and a homemaker.
