Iron City Ministries expands hours Iron City Ministries of Blacksburg, SC has expanded - its operations at 303 West Cherokee Street. Hours are now Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-12 noon, and Tuesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. “Because of the increased in- terest and attitude of local churches, enough volunteers have been recruited to expand the hours and work,"”said Board President, Rev. Ken Reid, pastor of Blacksburg’s First Baptist Church. Mary Westmoreland of Gaffney has been serving as Director of ICM, helping train, enlist and coordinate volunteers in her off hours while serving full-time with Piedmont Community Action. Dawn Collins is Office Manager and Lillian Manning is Volunteer Coordinator. The ICM Board approved the use of its facilities for meetings of Gamblers Anonymous; and heard a report on an effort to begin a Release Time Bible Study in local schools. Rev. Darrell Revels, pastor of Mt. Paran Baptist; Rev. Vernon Craig, pastor of Antioch Baptist; and Rev. Reid head up the com- mittee. ICM also reported that over $1,100 was raised at a recent yard sale that involved over 12 churches and 30 volunteers.
