Radial saws fell off the back
of a truck driven by Carl
Spradley of Kings Mountain,
and struck a car driven by
Steven Ramsey of Kings moun-
tain. Damage to the car was
$2,000.
Angela McConnuaghey of
Kings Mountain told police she
left the parking area of Plonk
Tire heading south on Cherokee
St. when the accelerator on her
car stuck. She told police she
panicked and jumped from the
car, and the car struck the out-
side wall of Kings Mountain
Office Supply. Ms.
Mcconnuaghey was treated for
minor injuries at Kings
Mountain Hospital.
A car driven by Mary Huskey
of Shelby was struck by a hit
and run driver on Cleveland
Ave. Damage to the car was
$500.
KM Hospital receives grant
Kings Mountain Hospital re-
cently received a $1,000 grant
from The Cleveland County
Community Foundation to pro-
vide health screening for citi-
zens who cannot access appro-
priate healthcare service.
The foundation awarded Six
grants totaling $4,600.
Other organizations receiving
grants were Boys & Girls Clubs
of Cleveland County, Inc., $400;
Boy Scouts of America, $400;
Cleveland County Abuse
Prevention Council, $900; and
Kings Mountain ponidl
Association, Inc., $1, 000.
