Toy Run scheduled
November 20 in KM
Murphey’s Scooter Shed will
sponsor its fifth annual Toy Run
to benefit children at Shriners’
hospitals and burn centers on
Saturday, Nov. 20.
Participants should meet at
Murphey’s Scooter Shed at 114
Camelot Court, Kings
Mountain, at 11 a.m. and be
prepared to leave at 12 noon.
The route will be through
several streets of Kings
Mountain, and back to :
Murphey’s Scooter Shed where
there will be free barbecue for
all participants.
All motorcyclists in the area
are invited to participate. The
only requirement is that they
bring a toy for the children.
The public is also encouraged
to participate by taking toys or
cash donations to Murphey’s
Scooter Shed. For more infor-

Antioch Baptist WMU
bazaar set November 13
The WMU of Antioch Baptist
Church will sponsor a bazaar
November 13 from 8 a.m.-2
p-m. at the Antioch Community
Center, Antioch Road,
Blacksburg, SC.
Crafts, baked goods and oth-
er items will be sold. Hot dogs
will be sold beginning at 11 a.m.
Door prizes will be given
away.
All proceeds go to mission
projects.

Cub Scout Pack 95 held its
annual All Male Cake Bake
October 19. Scouts were re-
quired to bake a cake with a
male member of their family
and use a theme of sports, fall,
cub scouting, or miscellaneous.
Awards were given to the first,
second and third place winner
in each category, and then the
cakes were auctioned to the
highest bidder.

stockings Saturday at Texaco Express. There were over 4,000
entries. The 8-foot stocking was won by 9-year-old Branigan
Wheeler of Kings Mountain, and a second stocking was donat-
ed in his honor to The Hephzibah Childrens Home for Orphans
in Macon, GA. Over $200 worth of treat candy was given by
the Texaco staff.
