JOHN E. YARBRO KINGS MOUNTAIN - John E. Yarbro, 98, 565 Bethlehem Road, died Friday, February 4, 2000 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center, Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Albert and Ida Hord Yarbro, and husband of the late Sarah Velia Herndon Yarbro. He was a farmer and was the oldest member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons, John Floyd Yarbro and wife, Ruth, of Shelby, J. Ed Yarbro, W.A. Yarbro, and George Yarbro and wife, Darlene, all of Kings Mountain; daughters, Ava Sipe and husband, Garland, Carrie Patterson and husband, Kelly, and Julig Huffstetler and hus- band, David, all of Kings : Mountain; brothers, Randolph Yarbro of Kings Mountain and Darvin Yarbro of Shelby; 14 grandchildren and 22 great- grandchildren. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. David Blanton at 3 p-m. Sunday at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. DAVID CROWE SHELBY- David Allen Crowe, 29, 1770 Melrose Drive, died February 4, 2000-at home. A native of Chester, Virginia, he was the son of Roger D. and Rachel Webber Crowe of the home. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Norris Crowe and Ralph Webber. He was employed by Thomas Howard Co. as an as- sistant manager. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church where he was a former choir member and handbell choir member. He was a gradu- ate of Shelby High School and Gardner-Webb University. In addition to this parents, he is survived by his grandmoth- ers Lucille Crowe of Shelby and Willie Webber of Shelby. .. The funeral was conducted Sunday at Zoar Baptist Church at 3 p.m. by Dr. Marvin Gobble. Burial was in Cleveland Memorial Park. Summerford, 75, White Oak Manor, died February 6, 2000 at White Oak Manor. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Winfield and Bertha Alberty Hullender, and wife of the late James G. Summerford. She was also pre- ceded in death by her sisters, Ethel H. Bell, Evelyn H. Drews, and Oledia H. Dise; and broth- ers, Edgar Hullender, George Hullender and Harvey Hullender. She was a homemaker. She is survived by nieces and nephews. A graveside service was con- ducted by the Rev. John Ware at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain. KITTY COBB KINGS MOUNTAIN - Sarah Katherine “Kitty” Falls Cobb, 67, died Tuesday, February 8, 2000 at White Oak Manor, Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Gillie Falls Sr. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Dana Leigh Cobb; brother, Gillie Falls Jr.; and step- father, Clem Holtschulte. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, where she was an active mem- ber of the United Methodist Women. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her son, Rodney Cobb and wife, Karen, of Kings Mountain; mother, Lallage Falls Holtschulte of Shelby; sisters, Jackie Ruddock of Jackson, MS, Diane Sill of Spartanburg, SC, and Jo Ann Falls of Lumberton; brothers, Albert P. Falls of Shelby and Robert David Falls of Johnson City, TN; and two grandchil- dren, Collin Cobb and Kaylin Cobb. : The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. He was a native of Cherokee Falls, SC, and: served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Church of the Living God, Covington, KY. Rev. Harris was a retired min=' ister, having pastored Five Corners Church of God, West Bend Church of God, Chelton Church of God, and Neenah Church of God, all in Wisconsin; and Gaffney Pentecostal Holiness Church, Gaffney. In between pastorates he served as an evangelist. In addition to his wife of 53 years, he is survived by seven sons, Perry Harris of Tucson, AZ, Chris Harris of Blacksburg, Howard Wayne Harris of Spartanburg, Jewels Harris of Cowpens, Rev. Jesse D. Harris of Covington, KY, Rev.
