Edward Henry Smith and
Nicholas Arthur Smith have
given 12 stained glass windows
depicting the apostles to Trinity
Episcopal Church in Kings
Mountain. The gift was given in
memory of their late parents,
Edward Arthur Smith and
Eloise Moss Smith, and of Ed's
late wife, noted author
Smith were both confirmed at
Trinity Episcopal.
Trinity Episcopal Church has
been a part of the religious com-
munity of Kings Mountain
since September 26, 1954, when
a group of people gathered in
their homes to worship in the

Community Lenten services slated
The King Mountain Ministerial Association will hold its final
Lenten service Wednesday, April 12 at East Gold Street Wesleyan
Church.
The service begins at 12 noon and will be followed by a light
lunch at 12:30. The suggested donation for lunch is $3. An offering
will be received for the support of the Kings Mountain Crisis
Ministry.

Concert to benefit mission trip
A gospel music concert to benefit the Honduras Medical Mission
Trip will be held Saturday April 8 at 7 p.m. at Parkwood Baptist
Church, 1729 Garrison Blvd., Gastonia. Featured will be The
Songsters Quartet, The Chapel Grove Quartet, and Rex Smith,

Venezuela missionaries at Second Baptist
Roy and Judy Hawkins, missionaries to Venezuela, will share their
experiences at Second Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, during the
11 a.m. and 7 p.m. worship services on Sunday, April 9.

They were members of a three-person team from Second Baptist
to travel to Venezuela in August 1999. §

Macedonia youth plan ham sell
The youth of Macedonia Baptist Church, 1101 South Battleground
Avenue, Kings Mountain, will sell hams for delivery at Easter. The
price of an approximate eight-pound precooked ham is $20.
Pick-up and delivery times are Friday, April 21 from 8 a.m.-12
