KMHS band slates Disney World visit The Kings Mountain High School Blazer Band has been se- lected to be part of Disney Magic Music Days in the Walt Disney World Resort. The 110-member ensemble will travel to Florida April 18- 22, 2000 with a scheduled out- door performance at the Future World West Stage at Epcot. Heffner attends Summer Ventures Stuart Heffner, son of David and Tammie Heffner of Kings Mountain, recently attended Summer Ventures in Science and Mathematics at UNC Wilmington. During the four-week pro- gram, 93 participant designed and conducted research on a science-or math-related project and presented those results on the final day. This is the 14th year of the Summer Ventures and Science and Mathematics Program at UNCW. This year’s student population of rising high school juniors and seniors represented 70 high schools and 41 counties and had an average GPA of 3.79.
