Contest Rules
1.The games listed by number in each
advertisement correspond to the lines in
the entry blank above. Some
advertisements may contain more than
one game. Simply write on the correct
lines in the entry blank which team you
think will win, or if the game will end i ina
tie. .
2. At the bottom of the entry blank is'a
Tiebreaker. In the space indicated,
guess the total combined number of
points that will be scored by both teams
in that game.
3. A $50 prize will be awarded to the
entrant with the most correct predictions.
In the event of ties, the Tiebreaker will
be used to decide the winning entrant.
In the event the Tiebreaker does not
break the tie, the prize will be split.
4. In the event games are postponed,
they will only count in that week's
contest if they are played within that
week's contest period. The contest
period cover games from Friday through
the following Thursday.
5. Entries may be mailed to The Kings
Mountain Herald at PO 769, Kings
Mountain, NC 28086 if it is postmarked
no later than 5pm on Friday , or brought
by The Eagle office at 107 1/2 E. Main
Street, Cherryville, NC; The
Banner/News office at 611 N. Central
Avenue, Belmont, NC or The Herald
Office at 824-1 E. King Street, Kings
Mountain, NC no later than Friday at
Spm.
6. Limit of one entry per person per
envelope. All entries must be on blanks
clipped from The Eagle, The
Banner/News, The Record or The
Herald. No photographically reproduced
entries will be accepted.
7. All entries become the property of The
The Eagle, The Belmont Banner, Mount
Holly News, Bessemer City Record or
Kings Mountain Herald. The decision of
the judges is final.
8. Winners will be contacted as soon as
the contest is judged.
9.Employees of the Eagle, Belmont
