KEVIN EUGENE MOSS (Amy Elizabeth Jarrett) Jarrett-Moss | Amy Elizabeth Jarrett of Gastonia and Kevin Eugene Moss of Kings Mountain exchanged marriage vows November 18 at Parkwood Baptist Church, Gastonia. Pastor Jeff Long officiated. Roxanne Bridges, soloist; Brad Reed, soloist; and Sandy Grant, pi- anist, presented a program of wedding music. The bride is the daughter of Patricia Watford Hagans of Gastonia and Larry Ted Jarrett of Denver. She is a graduate of UNC-Charlotte and is employed by Kings Mountain District Schools. She is the granddaughter of Thelma Bozard Watford and the late Lewis Edward Watford Sr., and Mary Miller Jarrett and the late John Samuel Jarrett. - PN The groom is the son of Karen Goins Moss of Kings Mountain and Quay Eugene Moss of Kings Mountain. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University and is employed : by Kings Mountain District Schools. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Goins and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Moss. The bride was given in marriage by her fa- ther. She wore a Maggie Sottero two-piece gown in candlelight matte satin, and carried a bouquet of assorted roses. Matron of Honor was Michelle Jarrett Herring. Bridesmaids were Jenny Hollifield and Charity Moss of Kings Mountain, and Cassey Lawrence of Dallas. They wore plum sleeveless gowns by Bill Levkoff and carried bouquets of daisies, roses, freesia, and million stars. Quay Moss was his son’s best man. Ushers were Andy Hollifield of Louisville, KY, Ryan Hollifield of Odenton, MD, James Howard of Gastonia, Todd Ware of Durham, and Andy Westmoreland of Gastonia. The bride’s parents hosted the wedding re- ception at the church. The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Carolina Country Barbecue. Following a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will reside in Gastonia. COOKING From 2B 1 tablespoon vanilla 3 eggs, beaten 1 cup shredded coconut 6 to 8 large ripe bananas Chopped pecans and walnuts (optional) Mix sugar and flour in a heavy saucepan. Add milk and vanilla, beating until smooth. Cook over low heat, stirring continually until it begins to thicken. Add eggs and coconut to sauce. Bring sauce back to 140 degrees for 3 minutes, stir- ring continually. Remove from heat. Assemble immediately when sauce is prepared. Slice cake in- to thin slices. In 9 x 13 inch pan, make a single layer with half the cake slices. Slice 4 bananas and spread over cake. Pour half of the hot Coconut Sauce over bananas. Repeat layers of cake, bananas, and end with Coconut Sauce. Sprinkle with nuts if de- sired. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
