Page 6A Holiday trash pick-up schedule of Christmas the city will pick up additional bags of trash The pick-up schedule for the City of Kings Mountain house- hold trash for the week of which will not fit into the road- December 25 and January 1 will ~~ side container. Residents should be one day behind. make sure additional trash is Monday's route will be run on Tuesday; Tuesday's route will be run on Wednesday; Wednesday's route will be run on Thursday; and Thursday's route will be run on Friday. for both of these weeks. Trash must be rolled to curb- side by 7:30 a.m. For the week placed beside the container in trash bags. It will not be picked up if it is placed on top of the container. At 516 Harmon Court, police arrested Ashlie Dye on a charge of possession of stolen goods; and Daniel Ray Sloan Jr. on a charge of possession of marijua-- na. They were jailed on $300 bonds each. At 707 West Gold Street, po- lice arrested Terry Carson Ross for felony possession with in- tent to manufacture, sale or de- liver marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony maintaining a dwelling with the intent to sell and deliver. He was jailed on a $2,500 bond. Police also arrested Thomas Brakefield of 707 West Gold St. with possession of marijuana and possession of drug para- phernalia. His bond was $500. Det. Lisa Proctor said the ar- rests were a result of a two- month investigation and more arrests may be forthcoming. “We urge any citizens of Kings Mountain, if they know of drug problems in their area, to contact the Police Department,” she said. WRECKS A vehicle driven by Dwayne Spikes Jr. of Kings Mountain =~ struck a parked vehicle owned by Paul Reynolds in the parking area of Reynolds Car Wash. Damage to the Spikes vehicle, owned by Robert Thompson, was $1,500. Damage to the Reynolds vehicle was $2,000." A vehicle driven by Lewis Moore of Kings Mountain was leaving a parking space and hit a pole in the parking lot of ¢ Harris Teeter. Damage to the car was $1,500. Vehicles driven by Leslie Scott and Johnny Chapman Jr., both of Kings Mountain, struck at the intersection of Fulton Rd. and Ark St. Damage to the Scott car was $2,500 and damage to the Chapman truck was $3,500. A car owned by Brenda Belt of Kings Mountain was struck by a car which left the scene in the parking lot of Waffle House. Damage to the Belt car was \ $1,000. Vehicles driven by Kenneth Sherrin of Kings Mountain and Carmen Feaster of Charlotte struck on N. Cansler St. near Highway 74 Business. Damage to the Sherrin car was $300 and damage to the Feaster car was $600. | Lawanda Smarr of Kings ‘Mourntain-told police she fell asleep and her car left Linwood Road and struck an embank- ment and tree at a residence. Damage to the car was $6,000. Smarr was treated for injuries at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A vehicle driven by Mark Donald Campbell of 108 N. Tracy St. backed into a parked vehicle on N. Tracy St. Damage to the Campbell car was $500. Damage to the parked vehicle, owned by Roger Ruffin of Windsor, CT was $1,500. An icy bridge caused a 1994 Ford driven by Robert West of Kings Mountain to go out of control on I-85 North at the US 74 East Bypass. The vehicle slid off the road and impacted a tree, and then rolled over and slid down an embankment. Damage to the car was $9,000. : There were no injuries. Vehicles driven by Ernon Roberts of Gastonia and Olegs Pogrebezinskis of Thomson, GA struck on Highway 74 Bypass East at the I-85 exit ramp. Damage to each car was $800. Richard Adams of Kings Mountain was charged with ex- ceeding a safe speed after he lost control of his vehicle and jumped a creek on Second St. Adams was thrown from the vehicle and was treated for in- juries at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
