A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late William Clyde and Vertie Susan Davis Short and wife of the late J. Frank Moore. She was also preceded in death by sister Betty Mauney and brothers Bob Short and J.D. Short. She was a member of Patterson Grove Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, where she served as a Children’s Sunday School teacher for a number of years. She was re- tired from Putnam’s Hosiery, Kings Mountain. She is survived by daughters Carolyn Parsley and husband Richard of Kings Mountain, Sandra Bumgarner and hus- band Mike of Fort Bliss, Texas, Linda Dixon and husband Don of Kings Mountain; sisters Maxine Putnam of Kings Mountain, Lois Eudy of Pageland, S.C., Pat Moore of Marshville, N.C., Ruth Turner of Kings Mountain; grandchil- dren Kyle Bumgarner and Kirk Bumgarner of Fort Bliss, Tommy Parsley, John Parsley of Kings Mountain, Keith Dixon of Kings Mountain; great grand- child Christian Parsley; great step grandchild Tony Baker. A native of Gaston County, he was the son of the late John Edgar and Nannie Naomi Brown Rednour. He was a grad- uate of Palmer School of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa: He practiced chiropractic for over 37 years in North and South Carolina. He was a farmer. A native of Rutherford County, he was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Kings Mountain, an honorary member of Pi Kappa Phi, and served on the Board of Directors for the Hemophilia Foundation of North Carolina. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Noah Hoppes and Pantha Smith Hoppes. She was the wife of the late Graham Dover. She was also preceded in death by brothers Fred Hoppes, Carl Hoppes, and Warner Hoppes. She was a homemaker and was the oldest member in age of Zoar Baptist Church where she worked in the nurs- ery for over 40 years. She is survived by brother Arnold Hoppes of Drexel, N.C.; sister Maude Davidson of Shelby; also a number of nieces and nephews. A native of Gaston County, he was the son of the late Billy, ; Daniel Ritch, Sr. and Stella Beatrice Bost Ritch. He was pas- tor of Providence Baptist Church, Kings Mountain and also worked for White Oak Manor, Shelby. He was a gradu- ate of Fruitland Bible Institute, member of Providence Baptist Church, also a church planter for N.C. Baptist Association. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Viet Nam Conflict. Marlowe had the distinct privilege of being in the Congress Gallery during the swearing ceremonies and Speaker of the House, Dennis Hastert’s speech to Congress.
