A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Addie Lee Tutherow Bridges. He was affiliated with Eastside Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, and owner and operator of Bridges TV Service. Roper, Roberta B. Ellison, Pauline B. Ware, and Mildred Ballard. She was a mémber of First Wesleyan Church where she was a former choir member. She was retired from the textile in- dustry.
