The police department said "officers received a callat- 11:10 —- p-m. in reference to a fight, and after their arrival they were told that a fatner had stabbed his son three times. Officers said the son was not at the scene but had driven . himself to his home on Redwood Circle. EMS was dis- patched to his home and trans- ported him to Gaston Memorial Hospital where he was treated - and hospitalized overnight for observation. Vincent Leroy Byrd, 44, 1305 Northwoods Drive, was arrest- ed in the incident: He was placed in the Gaston County Jail under a $25,000 unsecured bond. Norma Moose of Central Carolina Bank reported that someone attempted to forge a check on a customer's account. Larry Allen, 247 Yarbro Rd., reported larceny of a refrigera- tor valued at $150, range valued at $150, and three air condition- ers valued at $250 each. City of Kings Mountain (Moss Lake), reported that a ve- hicle struck a guard rail causing $250 damage. Margie Yancey, 615 E. Ridge St., reported break-in and larce- ny of keys and coins. City of Kings Mountain re- ported that someone stole six manhole covers from city prop- erty. Total loss was $270. Billy Jackson, 312 Duke St., reported larceny of ieuzrency; so- cial’Security cdrd dnd driver's license from his home. Food Lion, 1320 Shelby Rd., reported larceny of medicine ‘and razors. Estimated loss was $250. Carpet & Interiors, 602 Slater St., reported that someone broke into a vending machine and stole $20. . Jackie Byrd, 1305 Northwoods Dr., reported that someone took a key and dam- aged a vehicle belonging to Vincent Byrd of the same ad- dress. Damage was $200. The car tag was also stolen.
