Dr. Freeman opens in Kings Mountain M. Sean Freeman, M.D., a lead- ing facial plas- tic and laser surgeon from Charlotte, has opened The Center for Facial Plastic and Laser Surgery in Kings Mountain. _ For more than 12 years, Dr. Freeman has limited his prac- tice to cosmetic and reconstruc- tive surgery of the head and neck - one of the few surgeons in the Southeast with this spe- cialty. He received a Fellowship in plastic surgery, specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and neck, at Washington University, one of the country’s premier pro- grams. Dr. Freeman also com- pleted a residency in head and neck surgery at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. WARE KINGS MOUNTAIN - Luther : Pinkney Ware, 80, 424 Range Road, died November 13, 2001 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Greely and Lavenia Early Ware. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Myra Ware McNeely. He was retired from the ' maintenance department of Kings Mountain District Schools. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Gamble Ware of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Dale Ledbetter of Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Brian and Myra Johnson of Kings Mountain, Jennifer Johnson of Clayton, and Mark Johnson of Raleigh; and brother, Bill Ware of Palm Harbour, FL. The funeral will be conducted by Dr. John Sloan Jr. and Rev. Charlie Shytle at 12 noon Thursday at First Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-12 noon at the church. EDITH TILTON KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mrs. Edith Mae Cox Tilton, 78, 209 East Parker Street, died November 9, 2001 at Kings Mountain Hospital. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Arney and Maggie Mae Brannon Cox and wife of the late Joseph Tilton. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Steve and Kenneth Tilton; brothers, William G. and James C. Cox; and sister, Violet Ruth Lane. She was employed in textiles. She is survived by her daugh- ters and sons-in-law, Catherine Tilton of Kings Mountain, Gail and David Hill of Belmont, Ann and Jeff Branch of Belmont, and Marie and Bud Pressley of: Cramerton; sons and daugh-' ters-in-law, Charles andi tilt i Virginia Tilton, Dale Tilton, and David Tilton, all of Gastonia; brother, Ernest Cox of Gastonia; 12 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; and aunt, Vertie Mae Lovelace of Kings Mountain. CHARLES McBRAYER KINGS MOUNTAIN - Dr. ‘Charles Hughes McBrayer, 85, Woodbridge, died November 11, 2001 at White Oak Manor, Kings Mountain. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late W.G. and Mamie Goodson McBrayer. He was also preced- ed in death by his brothers, John H. and William B. McBrayer, and sister Mae Ellen Wilke. He was an optometrist and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was an Elder in Shelby Presbyterian Church, where he was a member of the Men's Bible Class. He was a Rotarian and a Paul Harris Fellow, a life member of V.EW. a York Rite and Scottish Rite Mason, member of Shelby Lodge 202, an Ambassador of Oasis Shrine Temple, member of Red Fox Country club and Woodbridge Golf and Country Club. He is survived by his wife, Evylee Harman McBrayer of the home; daughters, Rita A.
