A Tribute to Our ‘Son’ You came to us And we didn’t put up a fuss. You joined another brother And he wouldn’t have any other. We hoped you would be a girl A pretty healthy baby out of this world. To home we brought you in a wink all dressed in lace and pink. You came into a world of ones who loved you 999) and only you can “guess who” Dry and lay you in your bed “as no other” but a delightful brother. You grew up as any other boy and were to us such a joy. Each day “you two” grew close to our hearts. You grew and drew your “art”. Along came another brother and is like no other. You two cared for him Which filled our hearts to the brim. Later a daughter and sister came to us to love, cherish and to fuss. We have all been together Supported each other in all the weather. You grew into a nice young man and much more we know you can. You have put your life on line But always been open to signs. You’ve been guided from “above” And able to share “His” love. We pray you will continue to serve But never from Him swerve. We pray your peers will support you, too In all they say and do!
