The city of Kings Mountain will hold its annual spring cleanup Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the National Guard Armory, 300 Phifer Road and the Kings Mountain Fire Museum, 200 Cleveland Avenue. City staff and trash cans will be at both sites and garbage not taken normally will be accepted that day. During the cleanup the city will accept ceramic tiles, bricks, roofing materials, fence wire, bagged grass clippings, floor materials and car parts. Materials not accepted are tree trunks, boards with nails, sand or dirt, hazardous material or combustible waste and tires. Paint cans will be accepted only if filled with dirt or sand.
