Rodney Lewis McElveen, 29, of 138 Berkeley Forest Circle, Bessemer City, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and was placed in the Gaston County Detention Center under $50,000 bond. ARRESTS David Hernandez, 21, 409 Chestnut St., DWI, no opera- tor’s license, open container, $1,500 secured bond. Kristy Huffman, 32, 109 George Lewis Rd., driving while license revoked, ficti- tious plate, $500 secured bond. Ervin Lawson, 18, 132 Yarbro Rd., assault inflicting serious injury, assault by pointing a gun, damage to property, $1,000 secured bond. Walter Lee Chambers, 22, Lawndale, failure to appear, driving while license revoked, $395 cash bond. William Brooks, 52, 104 Curry Rd., DWI, failure to yield, $300 unsecured bond. Charles Lemons, 34, Gastonia, driving while license revoked, $500 secured bond. Jose Lopez, 30, 319 E. Ridge St., failure to appear lon assault charge, $200 secured bond. Dustin Waddell, 19, 116 Fulton Dr., communicating threats, $1,000 unsecured bond. Harold Foster, 36, 912 First St., simple assault, $1,000 unsecured bond. Renee Lipscomb, 612 Charles St. #80, injury to personal property. Nancy Gladden, 42, 904 Monroe Ave., assault and battery, resisting public offi- cer, $500 secured bond. Dennis Hope Jr., 34, 1025 Margrace Rd., 50-B viola- tion, no bond. Sidney Brown, 34, 406 Belvedere Cir., unauthorized use. Corrie Odems, 20, 403 Hillway Dr., assault by pointing a gun, assault on female, $1,000 secured bond. Kenneth Harrison, 42, 203 Cook Cir., order for arrest driving while license revoked, $395 secured bond. INCIDENTS Christopher Mackins, 602 Phenix St., reported some- one broke into the apart- ment where he was staying and pointed a gun at him. Damage to a door and win- dow was $75. Animal Control Officer Greg Poynton reported that a 13-year-old Kings Mountain Middle School student was bitten by a dog on Somerset Drive while he was walking to school. The boy told the officer the dog had broken its leash and was being walked by an older male. The boy said he swatted the dog off his leg at one point and then was bit- ten on his left hand. He was treated by a nurse at Kings Mountain Middle School. Katrina Floyd, 1306 Northwoods Dr., reported someone vandalized her property. There was minor damage. City of Kings Mountain reported that someone tam- pered with an electrical meter at Pine Manor Apts. Ann Chen, 405 Garrison Dr., reported that someone broke a window with an unknown object. Damage ‘was $70. Robert Short, 614 Landing St., reported larceny of a boys bicycle valued at $130. James E. Carroll, 1305 Wales Rd., reported that someone broke into his home and stole a table saw valued at $450, a ladder val- ued at $50 and an extension cord valued at $15. Mildred McNeal, 707 Northwoods Dr., reported being assaulted. Handy Pantry, 225 N. Cleveland Ave., reported lar- ceny of gas. Maxway, Highway 74 West, reported larceny by an employee. Douglas Towery, 305 S. Cherokee St., reported larce- ny of a 1991 Hyun Excel val- ued at $1,000. Eckerds Drug Store, 601 E. King St., reported larceny of diabetic testing strips valued ar $74, a gift bag, and film valued at $20.99. Eckerds Drug Store report- ed larceny of a blue basket valued at $200. David McCurry, 400-3 E. Ridge St., reported larceny of money, a racing collec- tion, Eagle collection, 12 gold rings, and a television from his home at 206 Cranford Dr. Total value of items taken was $6,200. Marion Wood, 116 Walker St., reported larceny of a push mower valued at $129 and a weedeater valued at $50. James Farr, 819 Floyd St., reported that someone dis- charged a firearm into his residence, causing $200 damage to a wall. Ashley Limbaugh, 410 Waco Rd., reported that someone broke into her vehicle while it was parked at Kings Mountain High School and stole a CD player and 20 CDs. Murray Pruette, 315 Maner Rd., reported larceny of a riding mower valued at $1,200. Jeanette Cheshire, 613 E. Ridge St., reported someone calling her home and leav- ing threatening messages.
