The Junaluska Singers, under the direction
- of Glenn Draper, will be in concert Sunday,
August 4 at 7 p.m. at Central United
Methodist Church, 113 S. Piedmont Avenue,

Central United Methodist Church, Kings
Mountain, is starting a contemporary wor-
ship service on Sundays at 8:45 a.m.
The informal service will feature contem-
porary Christian music, a variety of worship
formats, and will meet in the church’s new
Christian Activities Center.

Vacation Bible School will be held June 24-
28 from 9 a.m.-12 noon at First Baptist
Church in Kings Mountain.
There will be classes for kindergarten

A chicken pie dinner June 22 from 11 a.m.-
2 p.m. at Boyce Memorial ARP Church in
Kings Mountain will raise funds for a liver
transplant for Don Phifer of Kings
Mountain.
In addition, a yard sale and bake sale will
begin at 7 a.m.

VBS planned for El Bethel

Vacation Bible School will be held on

Pancake Breakfast planned
for El Bethel Methodist
El Bethel United Methodist Church in
Kings Mountain announces a pancake
breakfast from 7:00-10:00 a.m. on Saturday,
June 29.
The breakfast includes pancakes sausage
or bacon, juice and coffee.
The proceeds from the breakfast benefit
the Habitat for Humanity Missions trip.

David Baptist holds barhes
cue plate sale
David Baptist Church will hold a barbe-
cue plate sale from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday
at the church, 2300 David Baptist Church
Road.
Plates, with pork, buns, slaw, chips and
tea are $6. Boston Butts with slaw, tea and
sauce are $25.
A drawing for Sea World tickets will be
held at $2 per ticket.
All proceeds go to the American Cancer
Society's Relay for, Life.

finances; How men think about their role as
spiritual leader; and Men's role as covers to
the home.
