Pam Parker, Danielle Gill
and Alex Dawson continued
to play well along the nets,
too. Parker had four blocks
and two kills. She also had
nine digs, was 14-for-15 serv-
ing and had 11 service
points.

Kings Mountain High's
women’s volleyball team
defeated West Charlotte 15-
9, 15-12 and 15-2 and
whipped Providence 15-6,
16-14, 8-15 and 15-9 in a tri-
match Saturday at
Providence High School in
Charlotte.
The Lady Mountaineers
got another outstanding
effort from senior sensation
Shonda Cole. In the seven
games she registered 47 kills
and 10 blocks. She also had
10 digs and 18 service
points.
Alex Dawson added 19 .
kills and four digs, Danielle
Gill had nine kills, six blocks
and thee assists, and Pam
parker had nine kills, seven
blocks, 16 digs and 34 serv-
ice points. She was 46-for-47
serving.
Setters Courtney Osteen
and Blair Heffner combined
for 51 assists, with Osteen
getting 26 and Heffner 25.
Osteen also had 15 digs and
was 31-for-31 serving with

Football parking
and gate policies
Kings Mountain High will
be introducing the following
changes to football gate poli-
cies this year:
HM Only persons who pur-
chase parking passes from
the Booster Club will be able

to park in the parking lot
behind Gamble Stadium.
Parking passes are $10 and
may be purchased from any
Booster Club member or at
the concession stand.
Booster Club memberships
and gold cards can also be
purchased at the concession
stand
Cars may enter through
the “KM” gate behind the
field house, but they must
exit on Phifer Road at Kings
Mountain Middle School.
After the Booster parking lot
is full the KM gate will
closed.
MW Senior citizens ages 65
and older can obtain a sen-
ior discount card at the prin-
cipal’s office, allowing them
to get in the games for $3
rather than $5. Mountaineer
Gold Cards that were given
in the past will continue to
be honored.
BW Anybody using a free
pass of any kind must enter
and sign in at the “pass
gate” behind the field house.
That includes press,
Mountaineer Gold Card
holders, and students and
staff who are legitimately
