The suspect is described as a white man, approxi- mately 56” and 120 pounds. He was wearing a ski mast. According to Captain Derek Johnson of Kings Mountain Police Department, the man entered the front door, demanded money from the clerk, and the clerk com- plied. The man exited the building through the same door. No one was hurt. KMPD also reported a break-in and larceny at Saturn Express, 908 S. Battleground, where over $10,000 worth of cigarettes were stolen. According to Ptl. Mark Butler's report, 355 cartons of cigarettes valued at $10,650 were stolen during the night Saturday. Officer Butler responded: to the store when an alarm sounded. He found the door on the east side of the busi- ness open, but there were no suspects. An undetermined amount of money was also stolen. A breaking and entering’ and larceny was also report- ed at Little Dan's, 726 York Rd., on Thursday. According to police reports, a newspaper deliv- ery man flagged down a policeman after he noticed the front door had been forced open. There was no report on items missing. Damage to the vehicle was $9,000. Vehicles driven by Raymond Johnson and Melanie Pepper, both of Kings Mountain, struck on Margrace Rd. at the railroad crossing. Damage to each vehicle was $1,000. Pepper was cited for DWI, driving while license revoked, no insurance and exceeding a safe speed. . A vehicle driven by Luciano Romero of Gastonia struck a parked vehicle owned by Erica Johnston of Kings Mountain in the park- ing lot of Advanced Auto.
