Class of ‘72 holds 30th year reunion The Kings Mountain High School Class of 1972 recently held its 30th year reunion. A drop-in was held from 8 a.m.-12 noon at the home of Carolyn Mitchem in Kings Mountain. The class enjoyed a sit-down dinner. : Door prizes were given to Miss Paulette Manning from Arizona, Marshal Logan Logan from Texas, and to the “old- est” married couple and most grandchildren. The following day’s activities were held at the Sheraton Airport Hotel in Charlotte. A social hour was held from 7-8 p-m. and the dinner was from 8-9 p.m. From 9-12:30, class members enjoyed dancing and refreshments. Members who came the farthest were recog- nized. The class had 279 graduates, one of the biggest ever at KMHS. Class members include four pastors, numerous teachers, nurses, an airplane pilot, military personnel, . lawyers and executives. Members of the class reunion committee were David Bolin, Diane Bridges, Diane Russell, Tim Echols, Kat Ervin, Richard Jackson, Pam Nichols Goforth, Debbie Goforth, Dale Russell, and Gloria Camp.
