He graduated from the University of Central Florida and is Vice-President of Sales for High Sierra Sport Company in Chicago, IL. Saturday, October 5 at St. Matthew's utheran Church in Kings Mountain. Rev. William Jeffcoat officiated. Talie is the daughter of the late Mary Leigh Mauney Turner Broadwell of Kings Mountain and Dr. Rowland Goodrich Turner Jr. of Winston-Salem. She is the stepdaughter of Fred Jarratt Broadwell III. She is the granddaughter of former State Senator and Mrs. William Kemp Mauney Jr. of Kings Mountain, Mr. and Mrs. Rowland Goodrich Turner of Henderson and Mrs. Fred Jarratt Broadwell Jr. and the late Mr. Broadwell of Clinton. She is a 1988 graduate of Kings Mountain High School, St. Mary's College in Raleigh and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is a member of ZTA Sorority and was a North Carolina Debutant in 1989. She was formerly employed by First Union Financial Banking in Charlotte. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Church. Concert pianist and violinist, Miles and Dorothy Mauney of Kiawah Island, SC, " great-uncle and great-aunt of the bride, pre- sented a musical prelude. The processional was performed by trumpeter Christopher Cole of Kings Mountain. The recessional was presented by organist Virginia Hinnant of Kings Mountain. Acolyte was Margaret Mauney of Kings Mountain, cousin of the bride. Crucifer was Justin Frye of Kings Mountain, cousin of the bride. Tamara S. Johnson of Charlotte, friend of the bride, attended the guest registry. Charlene W. Law of Charlotte, friend of the bride, was program attendant. The bride was escorted by her stepfather, Fred Jarratt Broadwell III. She wore a long two piece gown of lovely Ivory Matte Satin. Her strapless fitted bodice was accented ~ with embroidery of gold cording, clear sequins and pearls. Matching corded embroidery adorned the hemline of the gown'’s a-line skirt and was carried through- out the Cathedral length train. Inverted box (Natalie Elizabeth Turner) Martin Manning of Malvern, OH and Mr. DEBORAH MICHELLE CRISP ERIC WAYNE ROSS Crisp-Ross Gary and Linda Crisp of Gastonia announce the engage- ment of their daughter, Deborah Michelle, to Eric Wayne Ross, son of Pete and Elaine Ross of Kings Mountain. “The bride-to-be is a graduate of Hunter Huss High School. The bridegroom-to-be is a graduate of Kings Mountain High School. He was a specialist in the U.S. Army. The bride-to-be and bridegroom-to-be are both members of Midview Baptist Church, Kings Mountain. The wedding will be held December 14, 2002. When holidays or other reasons make it necessary for the paper to publish a day early the deadline is Friday at 12 noon. There is no charge for articles. However, there is a $5 preparation fee for birthday pictures for ages 0-5. Forms, which must be signed by the parents, are available at the receptionist’s desk. Regular advertising rates apply for birthday articles and pictures for persons ages 6 and above. There is a $10 preparation fee for wedding, anniversary and engagement pictures. Wedding forms are also available at the receptionist’s desk.
