The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Michael Huss and Deborah Petty of Shelby. He is a 2001 graduate of Crest High School and is employed by Morgan Corporation of Charlotte as a landscaper. (Lyndi Elizabeth Stone) Stone-Hardy Oak Grove Baptist Church was the setting Saturday, January 18, 2003 for the wedding of Lyndi Elizabeth Stone and Stephen Anthony Hardy Jr. Rev. Dickie Spargo, pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Gastonia, officiated the ceremony for which Annette Webster, organist, Barbara Mullinax, pianist, and vocalists Heidi Rogers and Marc Holcomb provided the nuptial music. William L. “Bill” Stone Sr. escorted his daughter to the altar and gave her in mar- riage. The bride’s gown was a formal strap- less organza fit and flair design. The bodice featured a band of sheer organza just above the Venice lace. The train had a carriage back with an organza insert. The gown was enhanced by a matching shawl. The bride carried a bouquet of roses and stephanotis. Beverly Stone of Kings Mountain was matron of honor and Caroline Perry of Elizabeth City was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Leigh Ann Bouchard of Charleston, SC, Ashley Falls of Raleigh and Jamie Brooks of Kings Mountain. All the attendants wore black formal floor- length gowns. A band of decorative beads accented the waist and shoulder straps. They carried long-stemmed red and silver roses enhanced by silver satin bows.
