Man shot Tuesday at KM apartment A Kings Mountain man is in Gaston Memorial Hospital recovering from injuries he sustained in a shooting incident early Tuesday morning. = According toCpl.. S.D. Shockley of Kings Mountain * Police Department, Corrie Odums, 21, of 437 Hillway Drive, was shot three times in the “lower extremities” at Kingswood Apartments in Kings Mountain. A 9 mil- limeter handgun was used, Shockley said. According to Shockley, when police arrived at the apartment complex at 12:50 a.m. Odums had left the scene. He was located about 30 minutes later at Pine Manor Apartments on - Charles Street and transport- ed to Gaston Memorial. He is listed in stable con- dition. Shockley said Odums is cooperating with police investigators and they have a suspect. Charges are expected soon, he said. He was also preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Frances Richards. He was a farmer and was retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
