A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of Beulah Bullocks Strickland of Kings Mountain and the late Robert Edward Strickland. He was also pre- deceased by his sister Felicia Strickland. He attended Harvest Baptist Church, Kings Mountain. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Shirley Huntsinger Strickland; sons, Kenneth Strickland and wife Sherri, and Rev. Scott Strickland and wife Elaine, all of Bessemer City; daughters, Anita Strickland and Lisa Patterson of Kings Mountain; sisters, Irene Queen, Ruth Johnson and husband Garland, and Joyce Revis, all of Kings Mountain; nine grandchil- dren and one great-grand- child. The funeral was conduct- ed by the Revs. Scott Strickland, Buddy Williams and Bob Hope at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Harvest Baptist Church, Kings Mountain. Interment was in Westview Gardens, Bessemer City. A native of Marble, NC, he was the son of the late Ellis P. and Mary Holder Crisp. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Emma Griggs, Inez Wiggins, Ada Perkins and Pearl Hoyle; and brothers Edgar and Odell Crisp. He was formerly employed by Gambrill Mills and retired as a machinist from Warner-Swasey Corporation after 20 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church and served in World War II in the U.S. Army. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late George Patrick and Nona Ada Kiser Falls. He was also predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Mildred Falls; brothers Curtis Falls and Craig Falls; and sisters Lola Ramsey, Carrie Bumngardner, Callie Bumgardner and Jessie Howard. He was a retired supervi- sor after 29 years with J.P. Stevens. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church and former member of Cleveland Lodge No. 202. He is survived by his son, Russell Falls and wife Nancy of Gastonia; daughters, Iris Francis and husband Ray and Jane Mauney and hus- band Bill of Shelby and Gail Rogers and husband Kent of Asheville; brother Jonah Falls of Kings Mountain; sis- ter Grace Falls Elgin of Kings Mountain; grandchil- dren Steve and Paul Francis, Helen Morris, Pat and Wendall Howard, Kelly Beasley, Eleanor, Glenn and Patricia Mauney, Kathy Eplee, Robert Falls and Leigh Ann Wilson; and 16 great grandchildren. A native of North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josie Spurling Gladden. She had lived in Carnesville for the past 21 years. She was employed in tex- tiles at Danco Industries for many years and was a mem- ber of New Hope Baptist Church in Toccoa, GA. She was a former member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church, Kings Mountain. She is survived by her husband, J.T. Keller of the home; daughters, Jo Neesmith, Betty Phillips and Cecile Reynolds, all of Kings Mountain, Annie Dixon of Shelby and Linda Ervin of Carnesville, GA; 14 grand- children, 21 great-grandchil- dren and five great-great grandchildren; brother, Chappel “Chap” Gladden of Gastonia, and a number of nieces and nephews. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daugh- ter of the late Raymond Reynolds Sr. and the late Lizzie Irene Whaley Reynolds. She was a home- maker and member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Larry Rucker of Kings Mountain; sons Larry Dale Rucker and wife Jennifer, and Raymond Eugene Rucker and wife Amanda, all of Kings Mountain; brother, Raymond Reynolds Jr. of Kings Mountain; sisters, Barbara Ransum of Coffee Springs, AL, Elizabeth Carpenter of Bessemer City, and Margaret Anderson of Kings Mountain; and grand- children, Eric, Alyssa, Samantha, Kandis, Katelyn, and Skylar.
