She was a former employee of Milliken and Company and was a member of First Baptist Church of Cowpens and the Ladies Sunday School Class. SHELBY - Benjamin C. “B.C.” Queen Jr., 83, 1779 Idlewild Drive, died Thursday at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cherokee County, Sc, he was the son of the late Benjamin C. and Ollie Barnette Queen and husband of the late Mary Helen McMurry Queen. He was also predeceased by his son, David Queen, and brothers Archie, Raymond and Floyd Queen. He was retired from Ora Mill Company and was a self-employed painter. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons and their wives, Billy and Sarah Queen, Mitchell and Judy Queen and Richard and Mary Queen, all of Kings Mountain; sisters, Kathryn Martin and Myrtle Bland of Shelby; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A native of Rock Hill, SC, he was the son of the late Edward William and LeeAnna Newell Robinson. He was a retired Army vet- eran serving in World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Spell Robinson; five brothers, Haskell, Tom, Paul, Banks and Morgan; sister, Myrtle; and granddaughter, Sharon.
