Gerald Smith, 22, 823 Cleveland Ave., DWI, driving while license revoked, $300 secured bond. Edgar Ingram, 44, 528 Belvedere Cir., DWI, driving left of center, $300 unsecured bond. Kristen Beason, 20, Stanley, shoplifting, simple possession, $300 secured bond. Debra Emory, 48, 103 E. King St., DV assault, communicating threats, no bond. INCIDENTS Cpl. J.C. Shull of KMPD reported recovering a stolen firearm in a vehi- cle which he stopped on Branch St. at Hwy. 161. Ptl. K.L. Putnam of KMPD report- ed recovering a stolen vehicle owned by Tim Smith of New York. The only thing missing from the vehicle was a radio valued at $200. The Gaston Gazette reported breaking and entering of a coin machine at Rick’s Ole Country Store on Piedmont Ave. Dale Greene, 402 Scotland Dr., reported break-in and larceny from a vehicle owned by the City of Charlotte. The vehicle was parked at Kings Mountain Country Club. There was damage to a front win- dow and window jam. A wallet was stolen. John E. Robbins, 800 Cleveland Ave., reported larceny of a 2000 Honda Accord valued at $12,000. Tim Ross, 503 W. Gold St., report- ed breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny of video game disks valued at $400, a video game controller valued at $25, a cell phone valued at $400 and assorted hand tools valued at $10. y Kim [james, 423 N. Tracy St., reported being threatened over the phone. John Ingle, 508 Bridges Dr., report- ed that someone broke into a tool box on his vehicle and stole a drill valued at $150, assorted hand tools and a canvas. Brenda Horton, 712 Meadowbrook Dr., reported damage to an address pole. Tarshia Artis, York, SC, reported unauthorized use of a check card. Harris Teeter, 610 E. King St., reported larceny and shoplifting of medicine valued at $114. John Turner, 308 N. Watterson St., reported that someone broke into his utility room and stole a chain saw valued at $350. . CVS Pharmacy, 1017 Shelby Rd., reported shoplifting of a blood pres- sure monitor valued at $63.99. Brandon Johnson, 310 N. Watterson St., reported that someone entered a vehicle owned by Leroy McVay (same address) and stole three 12-inch speakers valued at $700, a speaker box valued at $60, and a 1,000-watt stereo amp valued at $400. The items belonged to Johnson. Elmer Hannah, 809 Floyd St., reported larceny of a 2000 Honda Civic. Trammell Surveying and Mapping,104 N. Dilling St., reported that someone broke into a storage building and damaged a truck camper cover lock. Someone also broke the lock off the storage build- ing of Moretz Engineering (same address). Nothing was reported stolen from either building. Pamela Kolometz, 505 S. Battleground Ave., reported that someone entered her vehicle and stole a radar detector valued at $140. Bonita Guyton, 122 Peaceful Valley Rd., reported that someone scratched the door of her vehicle. Damage was $200. Food Lion, 1320 Shelby Rd., reported shoplifting of a camera. Bridges Hardware, 100 S. Cansler St., reported larceny of a jig saw kit valued at $118.99, saw valued at $129.99, and drill valued at $147.99. Victor Laughridge, 102-D E. King St., reported being assaulted; Sgt. R.S. Davis of KMPD reported being threatened. Orangel McDaniel, 511 Landing St., reported that someone spray painted an angel lawn ornament in her yard. Jennifer Doster, 30, 407 Columbia St., Gastonia, concealment of mer- chandise. Roosevelt Ingram, 403 Belvedere Cir., expired registration plate, expired inspection certificate. Jamie Lee Davis, 24, 909 Margrace Rd., driving while license revoked. Ricky Runyon, 26, 154 Ezra Rd., no driver's license, failing to stop at stop sign. WRECKS Vehicles driven by Norva Hopper and James Boyd Jr., both of Kings Mountain, struck on W. Mountain St. at Goforth St. Damage to the Hopper vehicle was $1,500 and damage to the Boyd vehicle was $2,000. Vehicles driven by Meghann Clayton of Winston Salem and Larry Hamrick of Kings Mountain struck on NC 161 at I-85. Damage to the Clayton vehicle was $850 and dam- age to the Hamrick vehicle was $1,200. CLARIFICATION The Ronnie Ledford charged with DWI and unsafe movement follow- ing a wreck on N. A Kings Mountain man was charged with cruelty to animals after investigators found 39 neglected cats and several dead cats in his home Thursday. Paul Melton of 314 Cansler Street was given a criminal summons but was not arrested, according to Sam Lockridge, coor- dinator for health services at Cleveland County Health Department. Melton is working with the City of Kings Mountain to determine if the house can be brought up to standards, Mayor Rick Murphrey said. The investigation began when City of Kings Mountain codes director Holly Black contacted Lockridge’s office.
