A Kings Mountain
woman reported being
raped, kidnapped and
assaulted but later denied
prosecution.
McDonalds, 725 York
Rd., reported a felonious
larceny. An employee told
. police that when a cus-
tomer paid for a meal he
reached over the counter
and grabbed money from
the cash register and ran
out the door.
Pine Manor Apartments
reported a break-in and
damage to walls, floors
and furniture in one apart-
ment.
Kristin Vernon, Dallas,
NC, reported a break-in of
her vehicle while it was
parked at White Oak
Manor. Stolen items includ-
ed a purse, sunglasses and
numerous credit cards and
two check books. Damage
to the vehicle was $150.
David Wink, 113 Quality
Ln., reported being
assaulted and threatened.

Ct., reported larceny of a
motorcycle and tag.
City of Kings Mountain
fire alarm.
Lee Electrical
Construction Inc., reported
that someone broke into a
vehicle parked at Holiday
Inn Express and stole two
hoists valued at $415, a
hoist valued at $183, a
hoist valued at $237, a rope
valued at $281, and two
ropes valued at $208.
Brent Parker of Parker's,
100 E. King St., reported
larceny of four tires and
rims owned by Jamarl
Barrino of 411 N. Tracy St.
Value was $1,799.45.
Kings Mountain Middle
School reported that some-
one broke into a storage
building and stole a pres-
sure washer valued at $999
and a leaf blower valued at
$549.
Pine Manor Apts. report-
ed that someone knocked
out windows at an apart-
ment. Damage was $140.

Gantt St., reported larceny
of bicycles valued at $125
and $400.
Brittany Smith, Shelby,
reported larceny of money
from her purse while she
was at a local medical facil-
ity.
A vehicle which had
been reported stolen from

‘was driven through a chain
link fence at Haywood

Damage to the fence was
$10,000. Damage to the
vehicle was $3,200.
A 1984 Mack
tractor / truck reported
stolen from AV Dedmon

recovered at a vacant lot at
Highway 161/Interstate 85.

ed that someone threw a

edly fell asleep at the
wheel while driving north
on I-85, left the road and
struck a guard rail.
Damage to the vehicle was

A vehicle driven by
Justin Adkins of Gastonia
skidded on a slick road on
U.S. 74 Bypass and hit an
overpass pillar. Damage to
the vehicle was $6,000.
Vehicles driven by
Yolanda Burris and Evan
Osteen, both of Kings
Mountain, struck on
Mountain St. near Sims St.
Damage to the Burris vehi-
cle was $1,200 and damage
to the Osteen vehicle was
$3,000. According to the
police report, Osteen saw a
woman collapse on the
sidewalk and stopped to
try to help her. Burris
couldn’t stop her vehicle in
time to avoid hitting
Osteen'’s.
A vehicle driven by
Glenn Pearson of
Mooresboro hydroplaned
on 74 Bypass and struck a
median banner. Damage to
the vehicle was $5,500 and
damage to the median ban-
ner was $500.
A vehicle driven by
Maurice Ussery Jr. of
Shelby hit a pool of water A
on US 74 Bypass, causing i
the driver to lose control
and hit a guard rail.
Damage to the vehicle was
$4,500.
