Damage to the vehicle was $3,200. A 1984 Mack tractor / truck reported stolen from AV Dedmon Trucking Inc., Shelby, was recovered at a vacant lot at Highway 161/Interstate 85. According to the police report, Osteen saw a woman collapse on the sidewalk and stopped to try to help her. Burris couldn’t stop her vehicle in time to avoid hitting Osteen'’s.
