Fulton exchanged marriage vows September
6, 2003 at Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Rev. Jim Bracket officiated. Marty Blanton,
organist, Tony Davidson, soloist, and Mark
Southard, soloist, presented a program of
wedding music.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Joe Earle and Mrs. Sandy Greene, all of King
Mountain. She is the granddaughter of Mr.
and Mrs, Arnie Horn, Ms. Helen Thrift and
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Earle, all of Kings
Mountain; and great-granddaughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Kurk Ware, Mr. and Mrs.
Crawford Rucker, Ms. Clara Earle, and Ms.
Margret Horn.
She is a 2001 graduate of Kings Mountain
High School and plans to complete her
degree in Dental Assisting, which was start-
ed at CPCC, when she moves with her hus-
band for military assignment.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul
Fulton of Shelby and the late Betty Fulton.
He is a 1994 graduate of Kings Mountain
High School and plans a career in the U.S.
Army.
The bride was given in marriage by her
father and mother, Joe Earle and Sandy
Greene.
Matron of Honor was Ashley Hollifield of
Shelby. Bridesmaid was Paige Earle of Kings
Mountain.
The attendants” dresses were made by the
grandmother of the bride, Janice Horn.
Flower arrangements were by Sharon Horn,
and decorations were by Pam Boyer and
Sharon Horn.

Best man was Tony Davidson of Gastonia.
Groomsmen were Drew Fulton and Holland
Horn, both of Kings Mountain.
The family hosted the wedding reception
at the Oak Grove fellowship hall. Angie
Shuda and Muriel Fulton hosted the
rehearsal dinner at the church fellowship
hall.
Following a wedding trip to Gatlinburg,
TN, the couple is at home in Kings
Mountain.

son of Maureen Hinch of Raleigh and the

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Eaker of Cherryville and
Mr. and Mrs. Graham Lineberger of Dallas.
She is a 1984 graduate of Kings Mountain
High School and is self-employed at Lee-
Ann's Styling Salon.
The groom-to-be attended Appalachian
State University and is self-employed by
Hinch Appraisals.
A November 8, 2003 wedding is planned
at St. John’s Lutheran Church in
Cherryville.

Frances Harmon of Clover, SC, the late Paul
Harmon of Clover, SC and the late Luke
and Pansy Carson of Clover, SC. She is a
graduate of Hunter Huss High School in
Gastonia and is employed at Carolina
Brush Company in Gastonia.
The groom-to-be is the grandson of Voha
Smith of Kingsport, TN, the late Toy Smith
of Blountville, TN, and James Harden Sr.
and Amy Austin of Johnson City, TN. He is
employed at Dallas Plumbing in Gastonia.
An October 11, 2003 wedding is planned
at the home of the bride’s parents.
Garden club begins new year
On Sept. 11 the Town and Country
Garden Club began their 2003-2004 year.
The group met around a campfire.
President Connie Bell lead the Collect.
The 15 members present enjoyed a cook-out
of hot dogs, hamburgers and all the trim-
mings.
The business portion of the meeting
began with Arlene Barrett, vice-president,
distributing the new Year Book. Connie Bell
reviewed the book with members. Secretary
Glenda Crawford read the minutes of the
May, 2003 meeting. Treasurer Susan Gibson
presented the financial report. .
Discussion for a time and date to work on
the club’s project at the Kings Mountain
Post Office was presented by Lou Ballew. It
was decided and approved that members
would meet on'Sept. 27 at 10 a.nv. °
Copies of the Kings Mountain Women’s
Club Fall Festival Floral Fair guidelines
were distributed to members.
Connie Bell gave a program on Plants
from the Bible. Grass, grapevines, fruits,
trees, oils, herbs and flowers are recorded in
the Bible. Their uses included eating, flavor-
ing food, cloth dye, fragrance and perfume
for embalming.
The program concluded with Matt McGee
playing on the guitar and singing praise
and worship songs. He is a member of the
Bethany Baptist Church Praise and Worship
Team in Shelby.
