The Silver Express gas station is locat- ed at 507 East King Street and is owned by Rajendra Gandhi. The board of adjustment is a quasi-judicial board which makes recommenda- tions to city council. During the same meeting, the Ramada Inn at 728 York Road will ask for a sign variance allowing it to exceed the 75 square foot maximum by 25 feet. The meeting will be held at city hall and begins at 5:30 p.m. The meeting includes a public hearing. The public is invited. Video pokers machines will be on the agenda when Kings Mountains Board of Adjustment meets Tuesday. . In Loving Memory Of My Daughter, and Octavio and Kaitlyn’s Mom Crystal Dawn Perez Wilma Pendleton GASTONIA - Edgar Earl Marlowe, M.D., died unex- pectedly of natural causes at his home in Gastonia. A native of Kings Mountain, he was the son of Edgar Earl Marlowe and Alliwee McDaniel Marlowe. A graduate of Kings Mountain High School, Dr. Marlowe attend- ed Wake Forest University and North Carolina State University. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee. He served in the United States Navy as a lieutenant and flight surgeon. He received a Presidential Commendation for his med- ical work during his Naval service. He was formerly a member of the Charlotte Opera and performed with local theater groups. Until his untimely death, Dr. Marlowe practiced medi- cine at Marlowe Medical Clinic in Gastonia for almost 40 years as a family and general practitioner. During his career he delivered more than 3,000 babies. He served a term as Chief of Staff of Gaston Memorial Hospital and was Chief of Staff at Garrison General Hospital until its closing. Dr. Marlowe's patients always came first. He treat- ed everyone with dignity and respect, regardless of who they were. A deeply spiritual man, he viewed his career as a gift from God. A beloved physician, he will be profoundly missed by his family, friends and many patients. He is survived by his wife Connie Buchanan Marlowe, sister-in-law Donna Nickols and husband John Nickols, son John Marlowe and wife Jennifer, daughter Caroline Clemens and husband Eric, daughter Tonya Anderson and hushand Kevin of , - + +.
