Allison Logan Killian of Stanley and Steven
Lamar Rhyne of Dallas were married on
December 13, 2003 at Hardin Baptist Church.
Rev. Fain Farmer and Rev. Austin Rammell
officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Charles and
Barbara Logan Killian of Stanley and the
granddaughter of Willene Hall Killian and
the late Bill Killian of Stanley, and the late Mr.
and Mrs. Hugh Allison Logan, Jr. of Kings
Mountain. She is a graduate of East Gaston
High School, Gaston College and UNCC, and
is employed at Costner Elementary School in
Dallas.
The groom is the son of Bill and Connie
Rhyne of Dallas, and the grandson of the late
Bill Rhyne, Sr., the late Hattie Herman
Gladden and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph
Johnson, all of Dallas. He is a graduate of
North Gaston High School and Gaston
College, and is employed at Metso Minerals
in Bessemer City.
The bride was given in marriage by her
father. Leigh Burgess of Alexis was matron of
honor. Bridesmaids were Gaye Huggins and
Melissa McSwain of Dallas, Adrienne Waugh
of Mount Holly, Rhonda Ruttenbur of Stanley
and Melissa Helton cf Charlotte.
Best man was Bill Rhyne. Groomsmen were
David Rhyne, Mike Rhyne, Mark Huggins
and Josh Rhyne of Dallas, and Charley
¢ Killian of Stanley.
Child attendants were, Jr. bridesmaids: tid gi
Maddison Withers of Denver, Deanna Canipe
of Stanley and Kylie Rhyne of Dallas. Jr.
groomsmen: Luke Huggins, Dalton Rhyne
and Beau Rhyne all of Dallas. Allison Barrick
of Stanley was the flower girl and Cody
Rhyne of Dallas served as ring bearer.
Musicians for the wedding were Christine
Robinson, violinist and Kerri Rammell,
soloist. ;
The reception was hosted by the bride's
parents at Glenn Oaks Golf Club in Maiden.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the
groom's parents at the church.
The couple took a honeymoon cruise to
Key West and Cozumel.
Hospital to host
bloodmobile Friday
Kings Mountain Hospital is
hosting a bloodmobile Friday,
Feb. 20 from 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
To donate, one must be at
least 17 years old, weigh at
least 110 pounds, and be in gen-
eral good health.
All donors must take a picture
ID or blood donor card.
Girl Scouts to sell
cookies this week
Girl Scouts will be walking
through the community during
the weekend of February 21-22
to get exercise and sell Girl
Scout cookies.
The weekend has been tabbed .
“Walkabout Weekend.” Each
girl scout will be accompanied
by an adult.
Girl Scout cookies will cost $3.

at KM’s Joy Theater
Kings Mountain Little Theatre
continues its popular monthly
Coffee House February 20 from
6-10 p.m. at the Joy Performance
Center at 202 S. Railroad

Admission is free and open to

up on cafe tables, including
chess, checkers and other popu-

Saturday at Joy
Kings Mountain Little Theatre
continues its showing of free
flicks at the old Joy Theater in
downtown Kings Mountain
Saturday, Feb. 21.
Each month, a movie is
scheduled for children in the
morning, a matinee suitable for
teens and young adults in the
afternoon, and a film for more
mature tastes in the evening.
Saturday's offerings are:
10 a.m. - the Lion King 1 1/2.
2 p.m. X2: X-Men United.
7:30 p.m. - Radio.
Admission is free. Popcorn,

‘Art for a Steal’
set in Cherryville
“Art for a Steal,” a musical
comedy based on a Gaston
County armored car heist, is
scheduled for February 20-21 at
7:30 p.m. at the Cherryville
Little Theater.
The play was written by
Charlotte novelist Mark
DeCastrique and the late Loonis
McGhloan.
Director is Tish Merrill. The
cast includes Cherryville resi-
dents Preston Long, Blair Beam
and Wade Stroupe, Gastonia
residents Katie Metz, Judith
Metz, Erica Arce and Caroline
Cox, and Kings Mountain resi-
dents John Bennett and Tom
