Peace vigil set
Saturday in Shelby
There will be a silent, can-
dlelight vigil for peace
Saturday from 7 to 7:30 p.m.
to mark the first anniversary
of the war in Iraq. The vigil
will be on the lawn of the
. Cleveland County Historical
Museum at the corner of
LaFayette and Warren
streets in Shelby.
Organizers ask that partic-
ipants join the vigil in
silence, carry nothing, stand
in silence and leave in
silence. Candles will be pro-
vided, though participants
are welcome to bring them
as well.

Tangle of Tales” March 20 at

Library, 1555 E. Garrison
Blvd., Gastonia.
The program is free for
school-age children and

Three favorite folk tales
come to life - “The Frog
Prince” from Germany,
“Three Billy Goats Gruff”
from Scandinavia, and “The
Three Little Pigs” from
England. Each story is told
in a different style using a
variety of puppets.

An Easter egg hunt and an
annual visit by the Easter
bunny will be held Sunday,
April 4 from 2-4 p.m. at
