Senior play this weekend at Kings Mountain High BY ANDIE L. BRYMER Staff Writer A seven-member cast of Kings Mountain High School seniors will bring to life the comedy spoof “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged” this weekend. “I've seen it a couple times (before). It’s always interested me,” said theater instructor and director Daniel Treharne. “I'm a huge Shakespeare fan.” The play combines all 16 of the barb’s comedies, according to Treharne. The history of Britain is com- pared to a football game complete with a crown being tossed about like a pigskin. Set on a bare stage, props and cos- tumes are the only visual aides. Since practice began four weeks ago, the cast has dwindled from 13 to seven. “They would all take up the slack, time. the play work,” Treharne said. With a four-day spring break, the cast and four-member crew have had only three actual weeks of rehearsal The approximate two-hour play starts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at Barnes Auditorium.
