Alzheimer’s walk in planning stages Cleveland County's annu- al Memory Walk to raise funds to end Alzheimer’s Disease will be held October 30 at Lake Hollifield on the Gardner-Webb University campus. Anyone interested in find- ing a cure or prevention for the disease or in supporting families dealing with the ill- ness are invited to form teams to raise money or to participate individually. Funds go to the Alzheimer’s Association to be used for research and for local programming such as a toll-free help line, support groups, caregiver counsel- ing, educational opportuni- ties for caregivers and more.
