ROBERT ALAN CARTER (Greta Sims Loftin) Carter-Loftin Greta Sims Loftin and Robert Alan Carter, both of Pelham, AL, exchanged marriage vows June 26, 2004 at Mount Zion Baptist Church. Pastor Harry Walls officiated. Don Martini, trumpeter; Alan Carter and Camille Smith, soloists; Kevin Woosley, pianist; Jonathan Owen, guitarist and vocalist; Chelsea McGough, cellist; and Debbie Hughes, flutist, presented a pro- gram of wedding music. The bride is the daughter of Bill and Becky Loftin of Snellville, GA. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Major Loftin and Dr. George Plonk and the late Mrs. Margaret Plonk, all of Kings Mountain. She is a 2004 graduate of Samford University and is employed at Shades Mountain Independent Church. The groom is the son of Alan and Pat Carter of Alabaster, AL. He is the grand- son of Mrs. Margie Carter and the late H.G. Carter of Birmingham, AL and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hunter of Hatfield, PA. He is a 2004 graduate of Samford University and is currently working as grounds manager at Shades Mountain Independent Church. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Bill Loftin. She wore a white strap- less gown with a cathedral length train and veil and carried a pink and white bouquet with roses, lilies and hydrangea. Maid of honor was Laura Loftin of Snellville, GA. Bridesmaids were Julie Loftin, Lauren Thigpen and Amy Williams, all of Snellville, GA, Danielle Dayton of Millersville, MD, Meghan Hunt of Manchester, MD, Melody Gamble of Orlando, FL, and Rebekah McFerrin of Birmingham, AL. Flower girls were Marli Little and Anna Kate Wright. Best men were Alan Carter and Les ‘Wright, both of Birmingham, AL. Groomsmen were Jonathan Owen, Joel Busby, Josh Hausen, and Clay Willingham, all of Birmingham, AL, Nathan Aldrich of Gardendale, AL, and Mark Long of Alabaster, AL. The bride’s parents hosted the wedding reception at Winfield Hall. The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Vecoma at the Yellow River. Following a wedding trip to Grand Cayman Islands, the couple is at home in Pelham, AL. KM Class of ‘94 planning reunion The KMHS class of 1994 will hold its 10th year reunion October 9. BRYMER Staff Writer Film buffs can get their fill of the silver screen tonight and this weekend at the Joy Performance Center. The fifth annual Real to Reel Film Festival starts at 7 p.m. Crowds are expected.
