STEVEN LAWRENCE BLANTON (Christen Lee Hollifield) Blanton-Hollifield Christen Lee Hollifield of Kings Mountain and Steven Lawrence Blanton of Gastonia exchanged marriage vows April 16, 2005 at Christian Freedom Baptist Church, Kings Mountain. Rev. Mike Chambers officiated. Greg Moore, organist; Anissa Moore, pianist; Curt and Joy Hollifield, duet; Chasity Hayes, soloist; and Todd Vickery, sound, presented a program of wedding music. The bride is the daughter of Curt and Joy Hollifield of Kings Mountain. She is the granddaughter of Boyce and Helen Wells of Kings Mountain, Gene and Ivey Hollifield of Newton, and the late Sandra Hollifield. She is a 2002 graduate of Kings Mountain High School and holds an Associates Degree from Cleveland Community College. She currently attends Limestone College in Gaffney, SC and is employed by Cleveland County Schools. The groom is the son of Jerry and Marty Blanton of Kings Mountain. He is the grandson of Stokes and Louise Wright of Kings Mountain and the late Rev. and Mrs. Bill Blanton of Casar. He is a 2002 graduate of Kings Mountain High School and graduated in 2004 from Fruitland Baptist Bible College in Hendersonville. He is pastor of West Franklin Baptist Church, Gastonia, Curt Hollifield gave his daughter in mar- riage. She wore a white strapless satin bead- ed gown with train and carried a bouquet of white roses with purple statis and white baby’s breath and ivy. Maid of Honor was Laura Hollifield of Kings Mountain. Bridesmaids were Chasity Hayes of Kings Mountain, Angel Morrow of Dallas, Erin Moore of Kings Mountain, Meghan Potter of Kings Mountain, and Maci Shepard of Kings Mountain. Caroline Crawford was flower girl and Daniel Moore was ring bearer. Jerry Blanton was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Justin Bell, Jonathan Dixon, Chad Yates, Justin Fite and Andrew Moore, all of Kings Mountain. The bride and groom's family and friends hosted the reception at First Baptist Church Christian Ministry Center. The groom's fam- ily hosted the rehearsal dinner at Christian Freedom Baptist Church fellowship build- ing. Sollowing a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, TN, the couple will reside in @ Gastonia. CAROLINE PITTMAN MARK BUTLER ! Pittman-Butler David and Jackie Pittman of Kings Mountain announce the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Elisabeth Pittman of Kings Mountain, to Mark David Butler of Kings Mountain. A June 18, 2005 wedding is planned at First Wesleyan Church in Kings Mountain. The Rev. Don Williams will officiate the 6 p.m. ceremony. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Kenneth and Letha Metcalf of Kings Mountain and Evelyn Pittman of Gastonia. She is a 2000 graduate of First Assembly Christian Academy and a 2004 graduate of Gardner-Webb University. She is a sixth grade teacher at Kings Mountain Intermediate School. The future bridegroom is the son of Donna Putnam Butler and the late David William Butler of Kings Mountain. He is the grandson of the late Claude and Dorothy Butler, the late Lawrence E. Putnam, and the late Connie Goins Putnam. Hes a 1998 graduate of Kings Mountain High School and a 2001 graduate of Gaston College’s Law Enforcement Program. She is employed at Carolina Dental Center as a Dental Hygienist. The groom-to-be is the grandson of Doug and Doris McDaniel and Clara Hughes, all of Kings Mountain. He is a 1998 graduate of Kings Mountain High School and gradu- ated in 2002 from Cleveland Community College with a degree in Auto Body. He is owner operator of Lil Mac’s Hauling & Recovery.
