A Salute to Bill Bates,
honoring the former Kings
Mountain High football
coach, will be held
Thursday, Sept. 29 at 6:30 at
the Patrick Senior Center.
Tickets are $25 and should
be purchased in advance.
Only 225 tickets will be sold.

Kings Mountain High's
JV volleyball team won two
matches last week. On
Wednesday, the
Mountaineers defeated
Charlotte Latin 25-10, 25-15
and on Thursday defeated
Chase 25-17, 25-17. The JV
Mountaineers were 3-0
going into a match yester-
day with Shelby.
Kings Mountain High's
JV football team blasted
South Point 45-24 Thursday
night at Lineberger Stadium
in Belmont. The JV
Mountaineers, 2-0, host
Forestview in their first
home game at 7 o'clock
tonight.
Cherryville’s Kenneth
Harris made his collegiate
football debut at Georgia
