OBITUARIES KINGS MOUNTAIN POLICE REPORT _ MEGAN HEAVENER KINGS MOUNTAIN - Megan Christine Heavener, 6, 534 Oak Grove Road, died October 5, 2005 at her home. She was born in Cleveland County. She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Mack Ray and Millie Kathleen Camp, and maternal grandmother, Evelyn Christine Ramey. “She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She was an angel in waiting, waiting for her time to go home. She left behind beautiful precious memories. | While she was on this earth she touched a lot of lives. The family would like to thank dear friend and nurse Rhonda Cole, spe- | cial caretaker Angel Tate, special doctor | and friend Dr. Christopher Cerjan, and the ‘employees of Shelby Children’s Clinic. | She is survived by her mother, Tracy | Lynn Camp of Kings Mountain; maternal grandparents Michael and Teresa Camp of Kings Mountain; maternal great grandfa- ther James Walter Ramey of Kings Mountain; brother Eric Camp of Kings Mountain; special uncle Michael “Mike Mike” Camp Jr. and wife Connie of Kings Mountain; and cousin Tyler James Camp of Kings Mountain. The funeral was conducted by the Revs. Mike Chambers and Robert Haynes at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel. Interment was in Mountain Rest Cemetery. Harris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. BARBARA BOLTON KINGS MOUNTAIN - Barbara Bolton, 58, 341-1 Range Road, died October 10, 2005 at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia. She was born in Cleveland County. She attended El Bethel United Methodist Church, Kings Mountain. She was an employee of Arey Oil Company, Shelby. She was a lov- ing grandmother. She is survived by her parents, George “Jim” and Jean Fitch of Kings Mountain; sons Todd Hewatt and wife Laura of Kings Mountain, Jamie Bolton of Atlanta, GA, and Stephen Lowe and wife Amber of Morganton; brother George Fitch of Kings Mountain; sisters Diane Jones of Lawrenceville, GA, Wanda Fitch of Atlanta, GA, Ethelle Fitch of Raleigh and Mary Bumgarner of Kings Mountain; and four grandchildren, Harvey Bolton, Annie Bolton, Dylan Hewatt and Randie Hewatt. A memorial service will be conducted by the Revs. Bruce Hobson and Bobby Petree at 11 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2005 at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel. He was the son of Carolyn C. and the late Bobby K. Biddix. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, stepchildren Terry and Nicholas, and sis- ter Bobbie A. Biddix. Woman killed in wreck identified, driver charged The name of a woman killed in an automobile acci- dent Oct. 4 has been released. Samantha Tarrant, 18, was killed when the vehicle she was riding in hit a driveway culvert and overturned, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol. The Highway Patrol held the victim’s name until her family could be notified. The driver, Jonathan Funderburke, 26, of New BUSINESS . WRECKS Vehicles driven by Krystal Bray of Cherryville and Jacob Bourbeau of Lincolnton struck on US 74 at Cansler St. Damage to the Bray vehicle, owned by Kings Mountain Police held police boat Friday at Moss Lake. The 19 foot Polar boat will be used to patrol and for rescue. A government pro- gram saved the city $11,000 on the cost of the boat.
