Lady
Kings Mountain Middle Schools
girls softball team recently com-
pleted its season with a 5-6 record.
Coaches were Kristen Hardin and
Annie Freeman.
Following is a recap of the sea-
son:
- Kings Mountain at R-S Central -
R-S Central won by a score of 12-1.
Hayley Hoyle had the only hit for
Kings Mountain, and Megan
Loftin scored the only run.
Kings Mountain at Burns - Kings
Mountain defeated Burns 10-2.
Megan Hoyle had four hits and
two runs, Hayley Hoyle had four
hits, including a double and one
run, and Megan Loftin had two
hits and three tuns. Blaire Haynes
had two hits, including a double,
and two runs and Emily Yarbro
had three hits and one run. Tori
Glass scored a run. Mackenzie
Bolin was the winning pitcher. She
struck out eight.
West Lincoln at Kings Mountain
- Kings Mountain won 10-4 as
Emily Yarbro went 3-for-4 with a
double. Hayley Hoyle was 2-for-4
with a triple and home run, and
Lonnie Timson was 2-for-2. Megan
Loftin, Hayley Hoyle and Emily
Yarbro scored two runs each and
Lonnie Timson, Blaire Haynes, Tori
Glass and Cailyn Hughes scored
one run each.
. East Lincoln at Kings Mountain -
East Lincoln rallied from a 10-6
deficit to win 15-10. Kings
Mountain was led by Tori Glass,
Emily Yarbro, Connor Blalock (2
runs), Hayley Hoyle (2 runs and a
home run), and Megan Loftin (2
runs and a double). Runs were
added by Megan Hoyle (2), Blaire
Haynes and Lonnie Timson.
Kings Mountain at Lincolnton -
Kings Mountain tame away with a
16-3 win. Leading hitters were
Megan Hoyle, Tori Glass and
Megan Loftin with two hits each.
Hayley Hoyle added a double.
Runs were scored by Emily Yarbro
(2), Hayley Hoyle (3), Megan
Hoyle (3), Megan Loftin (3),
Mackenzie Bolin (1), Cailyn
Hughes (1), Taylor Faris (1),
Lonnie Timson (1) and Caroline *
Chambers (1). Lonnie Timson was
winning pitcher and had four
strikeouts.
Kings Mountain at Pumpkin
Center - Kings Mountain lost a
close one in the bottom of the sev-
enth inning, 8-7. The Lady Patriots
were strong on offense as Hayley
Hoyle had three singles and a dou-
ble, and two runs scored. Megan
Loftin had a double and scored a
run, Megan Hoyle had two singles
and scored two runs, Blaire
Haynes had a triple, and Connor
Blalock had a triple and scored a
run.
R-S Central at Kings Mountain -
Kings Mountain faced a strong
team in R-S Middle. Lonnie
Timson scored the only run for the
Lady Patriots in an 8-1 loss. Megan
Loftin was the dominant offensive
player with 4-for-4. Tori Glass,
. Jessica Burton, Taylor Faris and
Lonnie Timson each had a single.
Burns at Kings Mountain - The
Lady Patriots scored an impressive
16-1 victory. Connor Blalock,
Hayley Hoyle, Blaire Haynes,
Megan Hoyle and Lonnie Timson
were all 2-for-3. Blaire Haynes had
a double and Megan Hoyle and
Lonnie Timson each had a triple.
Adding singles for the Patriots
were Tori Glass, Megan Loftin and
Cailyn Hughes, Emily Yarbro, Tori
Glass, Blaire Haynes, Cailyn
Hughes, Jessica Burton and Lonnie
Timson all scored for the Patriots.
Connor Blalock and Hayley Hoyle
scored twice each, and Megan
Hoyle and Megan Loftin each con
tributed three runs.
Lincolnton at Kings Mountain -
The Lady Patriots had a good
offensive day as they beat
Lincolnton 17-7. Mackenzie Bolin
was the winning pitcher and
struck out 10. Leading offensive
players were Hayley Hoyle with
two triples and a single, Megan
Hoyle with a triple and single,
Megan Loftin with a double, and
Connor Blalock, Emily Yarbro and
Jessica Burton with two singles
each. Runs were scored by Emily
Yarbro (2), Connor Blalock (3),
Hayley Hoyle (3), Megan Hoyle
(3), Blaire Haynes (1), Megan
Loftin (1), Cailyn Hughes (3), and
Jessica Burton (1). :
Kings Mountain at East Lincoln -
East Lincoln continued its run and
defeated Kings Mountain 11-2.
