She was born in daughter of the late George ad Lillie Osborne Ivey. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Paul, Alton, and Arthur Ivey and sister, Hazel Poteat. She was a homemaker and - member of First Wesleyan Church in Kings Mountain, where she taught the Ruth Sunday School Class. She is survived by her husband, John I. George Jr. of Kings Mountain; sons Bart, Mark and Myron; daughters-in-law Dianne, Debbie and Joy; grandchil- ‘dren Greg, David, Katie, Anna, Caleb, and Zachary; great-grandchildren Claire and Railey; and sisters Mildred Parker and Marian Cloninger, both of Kings Mountain.
