A July 29, 2006 wedding is planned at Christian Freedom Baptist Church in Kings Mountain. Casey is the daughter of Tom and Iva Beam and Eugene and Fay Goforth, all of Kings Mountain, and Mr. and Mrs. George N. Lovelace of Pineville. She is a 1995 grad- uate of Burns High School and earned a BA in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is employed with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. Joseph is the grandson of Bill and Sarah Yandle and Ray and Eloise Lockler, all of Charlotte. He is a 1997 graduate of West Mecklenburg High School and earned a BS in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is employed with the City of Charlotte. KMNMP to celebrate National Park Week Kings Mountain National Military Park will celebrate National Park Week April 22- 29 to draw attention to the nearly 400 nation- al parks nationwide which preserve natural areas, recreation area and historic sites. Each day at 4 p.m. park staff will present a program of activity for children ages 5-11. Families and after-school groups are encour- aged to participate. The activities include: Saturday and Sunday - Meet Benjamin Franklin and learn about his inventions and experiments. Monday - Militia drill to teach young recruits how to march and fire a musket. Tuesday - Spinning yarn into cloth; watch as wool yarn is spun into fabric for clothing. Wednesday - Colonial medicine - discover how doctors treated patients 200 years ago. Thursday - Watch as powder horns are made and decorated. Friday and Saturday, April 28-29 - Use your senses to understand nature; learn about the park’s plants and wildlife. All activities are free. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Tangie and Joseph Paulk of Kings Mountain and the late James Caviness. She is employed as a dental hygienist at Kelly & Kelly Family Dentistry in Gastonia. The groom-to-be is the son of Ricky and Doreen Carroll and Rodney and Regina Ruff of Kings Mountain. He is employed as a lineman with BellSouth in Cleveland County. Riley Ray Clark born March 22 Riley Ray Clark was born March 22, 2006 at Shelby Hospital. The baby weighed eight pounds, one ounce and 1 was 20 inch- es long.
