He was born in Marion, Ohio, son of the late Vernon Patrick. He was also preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grand- parents. He attended David Baptist Church and was a certified welder. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Patrick of Kings Mountain; sons Dwayne Wiggins of Kings Mountain and Christopher Patrick of Kings Mountain; daughter Missy Wiggins of Kings Mountain; mother Jacqueline Irvine Howell of St. Petersburg, FL; brothers Dan Patrick of Cardington, Ohio, John Patrick of New Bloomington, Ohio, and Tim Patrick of St. Petersburg, FL; sister Kathy Patrick Baker of St. Petersburg, FL; granddaughter Lacy Wiggins; and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Jody Griffin at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2006 at David Baptist Church. Interment was in the church cemetery. Gold Street, died August 28, 2006 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Luther and Minnie Huffstickler Bridges. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers and two sons-in-law, Edgar Charles Wiggins and Dennis Gold Beatty. He was retired from Bennett Brick and Tile in Kings Mountain and was a member of El Bethel United Methodist Church. He loved beekeeping, gardening, fishing and was a big Atlanta Braves fan. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Averice Eaker Bridges of Kings Mountain; son Ned Bridges and wife Judy of Gastonia; daughters Carolyn B. Ross and husband Manuel of Kings Mountain, and Janice B. Raines and husband Bobby of Fallston; brother Bill Bridges of Kings Mountain; sister Edith Carpenter of Kings Mountain; grand- children Sherri Weeks and husband Paul of Shelby, Christy Bridges of Concord, Brian Beatty and wife Jennifer Lee Beatty of Fallston; and great grandchildren Morgan Weeks and Madison Weeks. The funeral was conducted by the Revs Bobby Petree and Bruce Hobson at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at El Bethel United Methodist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Harris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. CAROLYN DAVISON Carolyn Wells Davison, 76, born November 28, 1929, went to be with her heavenly Father on August 18. 2006. Carolyn was preceded to Heaven by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Clyde O. Wells, Sr. Carolyn grew up in Spartanburg, SC and graduated in 1949 from Spartanburg School System. She attended Agnes Scott College her freshman and sophomore years and graduated from Converse College in 1950. She married a long time friend of the Wells family, Meredith V. Davison, son A of Mildred and Verne Davison in 1951. She was a wonderful wife, a very loving and caring mother, a long time reader, studier, teacher and follower of the Holy Bible, an avid flower gardener and loved to sew. Even after Multiple Myeloma forced her to use a wheelchair, she cultivated and weeded her flowers. When the sun showed its face, you would probably find her out-of-doors soaking “Him” up! She was always willing to take a challenge, moving to Charlotte in 1966. Seven years later moving to Lake Norman and opened a real estate office with Meredith. She is survived by her loving husband, Meredith; two sons Meredith, Jr. and wife Denise of Weddington; Ron and wife Lucy of Charlotte and one daughter Meda and hus- band Dr. Richard Dixon of Shelby and six beautiful grandchildren - Jonas, Kaylin, Hannah, Mallory Davison and Andrew and Charles Dixon. She is also survived by two brothers, Dr. Clyde Wells, Jr. and Dr. Joe Wells, and two sisters, Allene Williamson and Elizabeth Coggins, ‘many nieces, nephews and special friends. A Memorial Service was held at First Baptist Church of Kings Mountain on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at 2.00 pm. Following the memorial service the family visited with Carolyn’s friends. The family would like to thank Carolinas Hematology-Oncology Associates and espe- cially Dr. Warden Woodard for the caring love furnished during Carolyn’s sickness and also the special Hospice team that adminis- tered to Carolyn for the past several months. He was born on December 14, 1913 in Grover, son of the late Frank and Alsic Shepard Randle. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Lois Rebecca Randle, and great nephew Dale Randle. He retired from Hambright Oil Company of Grover. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Grover. He helped organize the Grover Rescue Squad in 1961 and was an honorary member of the Grover Fire Department. Mr. Randle lived most all of his life in Grover. He moved to Florida in February 2005 due to health reasons. He is survived by his step-daughters, Barbara Gunter and husband Bob of Polk City, FL, and Louise Kahn and husband Bob of Keowee Key, Salem, SC; special cousin Margaret Lane of Grover; great-nephews Larry Randle of Grover, Tony Randle of Kings Mountain, and Hoyle Randle of Kings Mountain.
