LOUISE WRIGHT OWENS KINGS MOUNTAIN - Louise Wright Owens, 84, 306 Waco Road, died March 18, 2007 at White Oak Manor. She was born in York County, SC. She was the daughter of the late Luther Gene Wright and Hattie Mae Wright, and wife of the late Marvin Owens. She was also preceded in death by six sons and three brothers. She was a member of Love Valley Baptist Church and was retired from the textile industry. She was loved and will be missed. She is survived by her son, Kenny Wayne Owens of Gastonia; daughter Denise Blanton and Frank Childers of Kings Mountain; seven grand- children and 14 great-grandchil- dren. She was a member of the First Nazarene Church in Kings Mountain. She is survived by her hus- band, Raymond O. Gregory of Kings Mountain; son Ronald W. Gregory and wife Janet of Blacksburg, SC, Donald =O. Gregory and wife Linda of Augusta, GA, and Randy K. She was a member of the Baptist faith, a loving mother who was devoted to God and strong in her faith and was instrumental in leading her fam- ily in their faith. She was a home- maker. She was a native of Savannah, GA, daughter of the late Joseph Eugene Poythress and Martha G n'a nn Kernsley. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church where she was an active member, having served as the President of the Church Council, a member of the Altar Guild and as a Sunday School teacher. She was a teacher and administrator and retired from Kings Mountain District Schools. She served on the board of the Kings Mountain Crisis Ministry and was a Hospice vol- unteer. She is survived by her hus- band, Glee Edwin Bridges of Kings Mountain; sons Ed Bridges and wife Andrea of Georgetown, TX and Tom Bridges and wife Sandy of Jackson, TN; daughter Lynne Presley and husband Steve of Hendersonville; and grandchil- dren Chris Bridges and wife Christy of Hendersonville, Jennifer Fulton of Asheville, Kelli Bridges of Clarksville, TN, Elizabeth Fulton of Burlington, Samantha Bridges of Jackson, TN and Catherine Fulton of Hendersonville.
