Page 4 OBITUARIES The Kings Mountain Herald October 11, 2007 HELEN EARP ALEXANDER KINGS MOUNTAIN - Helen Earp Alexander, 80, 102 S. Watterson Street, died October 4, 2007 at Crawley Memorial Hospital, Boiling Springs. She was born in Mecklenburg County. She was the daughter of the late William Alexander Earp and Essie Bowman Earp. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Alexander Hasty, and brother Harold Earp. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was retired from Polygram, Grover. She was a beloved mother who will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daugh- ters, Carol Alexander of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Donna Alexander Martin and husband Rick of Blacksburg, SC; stepson Robert Ray Alexander of Gastonia; stepdaughters Pat Hyder of Gastonia and Kay Lynch of Waynesville; brothers Charlie Earp and Sid Earp of Charlotte; sister Ada Earp Wiley of Rock Hill, SC; grand- children Shane Alexander, Derrick Kennington, Kara Carpenter, Chelsea Carpenter and Alex Martin; and three great-grandchildren. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Gene Alexander at 3:30 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2007 at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel. Interment was in Mountain Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be made to * Susan B. MOLLI ANN BROWN KINGS MOUNTAIN - Molli Anne Brown, infant, resident of 922 Stoneymead Drive, died October 1, 2007 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born in Mecklenburg County. She is survived by her moth- er, Amanda Claire Brown of Kings Mountain; and maternal grandparents David and Jenifer Bowman of Kings Mountain and Rick and Debi Brown of Ochlocknee, GA. Harris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. MARY RUTH ROBBINS GROVER - Mary Ruth Robbins, 77, 109 Dogwood Drive, died October 5, 2007 at Keim. 's Mountain Hospital. She was a native of Cleveland County, daughter of the late Robert and Lilly Price Head and wife of the late Roy Rufus Robbins. She was also preceded in death by a son, Roy Robbins, Jr., brother Bob Head, and sister Dorcas Clark. She was la retired textile employee and former employ- ee of Roses Department Store in Shelby. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Grover, where she was active in the “Time Out” Club. A special thanks to Lindsea, Logan and Sara for doing mamaw’s nails and a special thanks to Pastor LeAnn Chapman for her concerns and help. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daugh- ters Linda Smart and husband Gary of Kings Mountain, and Janet Knox and husband Gene of Grover; brothers Jack Head of Myrtle Beach, SC and Eddie Head of Polkville; sisters Betty Breakfield of York, SC and Margie Beaver of Shelby; four grandchildren, Dale Smart, Gary Smart Jr, Pam Kolometz and Daniel Knox; six great- grandchildren; and special friend Bill Kirby of Grover. K'I'N-G’S MOUNTAIN - George Lublanezki Sr, 88,.:137 W:..e ‘s:t Mountain Street, died October - 6, 2007 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late George Lublanezki and Anna Walken Lublanezki. He was also preceded in death by his son, George Lublanezki Jr., first wife Verta 'Lee® Short Lublanezki, and brother Gene Lublanezki. He was retired from Kings Mountain City Schools and Cleveland Community College and was owner and broker of Kings Mountain Real Estate and Investment Company. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Casar, the Kings Mountain American Legion, Kings Mountain VFW and Kings Mountain DAV. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Navy in the European-Theater with VPB 127. He received the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign ~~ Ribbon and European-African M.E. Ribbon. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Jamie Bridges at 2 p-m. Monday, October 8, 2007 at Mt. VEARGIE CAMPBELL KINGS MOUNTAIN - Veargie Campbell, 71, 110 N. Deal St., died October 7, 2007 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Will and Bessie Self Fredell. She was also preceded in death by brothers James and Pinky Fredell, and sisters Agnes Bowens and Annie Moses. She was retired from Danaher Tool Company in Gastonia after 22 years of service. She loved big flower gardens and cooking for family and friends. She is survived by her hus- band of 54 years, Forest Campbell of Kings Mountain; son Mark Campbell of Clover, SC; daughters Barbara Mabe and husband Kenneth of Kings Mountain, and Shirley C. Harmon and husband Van of Bessemer City; brothers Roy Fredell, Coy Fredell, and Foy Fredell, all of Kings Mountain, and Manuel Fredell of Lincolnton; sisters Essie Bivens of Lincolnton, and Mildred Hamrick of Matthews; grand- children Karen Deese, Cindy Mabe, Heather Nichole Harmon and Kayla Ann Harmon; great- grandchild Haley Mabe; and special niece Pat Foster of Kings Mountain. The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Jody Griffin at 4 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2007 at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in Mountain Rest Cemetery. She was born in Hazelhurst, MS, daughter of the late Alvie Roland Rials and Nettie Reed Rials Wallace Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Smith; brothers Earl Rials, Talmadge Rials, Estus Rials, and Linward Wallace; and sister Faye Juanita Rials Mackeeby. She was a former employee of Kings Mountain Hospital and the former McGill Clinic. She was a member of Christian Freedom Baptist Church in Kings Mountain. She is survived by her son, Dennis Smith and wife Gale of Kings Mountain; daughter Linda Smith Ford and husband Ted of Kings Mountain; brother Billy Gene Wallace of Brookhaven, MS; grandchildren Christopher Smith, Amy Ford Bailey and Aaron Ford; and great-grand- children Carson Bailey, Casey Smith and Chase Smith. The funeral will be conducted by the Revs. Mike Chambers and Sam Snyder at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2007 at Christian Freedom Baptist church. Interment will be in Mountain Rest Cemetery.
