NOTABLE On two occasions, KM punter Alex Randall probably saved the ball game for the Mountaineers. The first was when KM faced fourth down on its own 34 and the center’s snap sailed very high over his head and he kicked the ball twice to get it out of the end zone to give R-S Central a two-point safety rather than run the risk of the Hilltoppers recov- ering the ball for a touchdown; then, with 1:50 left in the game and KM backed up on its own 33 the center's snap was high again. This time Randall was able to jump and catch the ball. He ran to his right to avoid a heavy rush and got off a 42-yard punt which rolled dead on the RS25 with 1:12 left.
