The Kings Mountain Herald January 31, 2008 ENGAGEMENT Ro SOCIAL BRIEFS BLOOD DRIVES SUSAN ELIZABETH LINEBERGER TIMOTHY DONALD MORROW Lineberger-Morrow couple to marry on May 3, 2008 Rev. and Mrs. James Michael Lineberger of Gastonia announce the engagement of their daughter, Susan Elizabeth Lineberger, to Timothy Donald Morrow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Donald Morrow of Kings Mountain. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Wilson and Mrs. Ethel Lineberger. She is a graduate of North Mecklenburg High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Business from Wingate University. She is currently employed by Arrowpoint Capital Corporation and is a member of the Gaston Symphonic Band. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of John Morrow. He is a graduate of Kings Mountain High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is currently employed by Gastonia City Police Department. A May 3, 2008 wedding is planned. Income tax assistance for seniors available Free income tax assistance will be offered by trained AARP volunteers Tues., Feb. 12, Tues., Feb. 26 and Tues., March 25 from 9 am.- 3 p.m. at’ the Patrick Center. Cleveland County residents ages 55 and older who have low income may call the Center at 704-734- 0447 to make an appointment. A Blood drive Friday at KM Red Cross There will be a blood drive at the Kings Mountain Red Cross Office, 210 Piedmont Ave., Friday, February 1 from 1:30-5:30 p.m. All donors will receive a Chick-Fil-A coupon and can enter a drawing for flowers for a year. Call 704-730-9003 for an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome. There is a great demand for blood this time of year. Rehearsals slated for Choral Society Rehearsals for the Cleveland County Choral Society will be held on Tuesdays, starting February 5, from 7-9 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church, Shelby. Symphony to perform in Clover The National Symphony Orchestra will per- form at Clover School District Auditorium Sat., Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15. For more information call 803-222-8018. Shelby MS Walk slated for April 5 The Shelby Multiple Sclerosis Walk will take place at 10 a.m. April 5 at Uptown Shelby Court Square, with check-in at 9 a.m. Corporate sponsorships are available, and the chapter is seeking volunteers to help with festiv- ities, food, route marking, and medic stations. There is no cost to walk, but participants are encouraged to raise money prior to the walk. All monies raised go to support programs for local clients living with MS, and MS research. Healthy America event at Patrick Center A “Healthy America Event” will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 11 a.m. in Conference Room I and II at the Patrick Center, Kings Mountain. The event will detail preventative benefits cov- ered by Medicare; the best way to manage your health and stay one step ahead of serious ill- nesses or certain chronic conditions. A panel will be available from ACCES of Cleveland County. Attendees will learn about free services provid- ed by Medicare. A healthy lunch will be served to all.
