Gardeners find themselves stumped for ideas about what to do with those shady areas of their yards. One of the first steps in preparing a shade garden is to understand the type of shade you have, type of soil and amount of moisture in the shady area. Some plants that love the shade are: Bunchberry, Toad-lily, Golden Star, Lungwert, Coral Bells, Lenten Rose, Lady’s Mantle, Garden Astilbe, Forget- me-nots, Hosta, Ivy, and Ferns. With this endless array of plants, get started, and turn a ugly shady spot into a favorite hideaway paradise.
