Born in Cherokee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Charles Brumby Hall. She was also preceded in death by brothers Steve Hall and Charles Hall, and sister Mary Ann Hall. She was a devoted wife and homemaker. She was a member of Golden Harvest Temple, Lowell, and attended Restoration at Chapel Grove Church of God, Gastonia. She is survived by her hus- band, Jimmy David Crawford Sr. of Blacksburg, SC; son Jimmy David Crawford Jr. and wife Helen of Kings Mountain; daughters Pamela Crawford Moss and husband Randy of Kings Mountain, Charlene Crawford Hollifield of Gastonia, and Cindy Crawford Christenbury and husband Shane of Blacksburg, SC; moth- er Katherine Green Hall of Gastonia; brothers Philip Hall of Gastonia, Paul Hall of Spartanburg, SC and Joseph Hall of Georgia; sisters Judy Hall Bailey of Cherryville, Carol Hall of Tennessee and Kathy Cape of Lincolnton; grandchil- dren Ashley, Amber, Jaron, Andrew, Alysun, J.D., Shanley, Manteo, Anna Marie and John Michael; and great-grandchil- dren Logan and Landon. JIMMY PEELER GAFENEY, SC - Jimmy Leslie Peeler, 59, 1065 Patrick Road, died” May 16, 2008 ' at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Susan Davis Peeler and son of Aurie Mullinax Peeler McCarter of Gaffney and the late Charlie Peeler. He was formerly employed by Cunningham Brick Company and was a Protestant. Surviving are brothers, Leonard Peeler and wife Nancy, and Wayne Peeler and wife Marjorie, all of Gaffney; sisters Patricia McCraw and husband Roger of Lavonia, NC and Amanda Ramsey and husband Alfred of Gaffney; and numer- ous nieces and nephews. Heer h McCraw and Katherine Lovelace McCraw. She was the wife of the late Amzi McNeely. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her son, Don McNeely and wife Judy of Bessemer City; daughter Laverne Foster of Bessemer City; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Broad River Genealogical Society, the Foothills Quilting Guild, Shelby Radio Club, and was a Captain with the Civil Air Patrol, Shelby. She was retired from Kings Mountain District Schools, hav- ing taught at East Elementary until her retirement in 2002. She continued working with chil- dren at: East and West Elementary where she volun- teered to read to children. ° She is survived by her hus- band of 52 years, Tommy P. Bridges of Kings Mountain; daughters Cindy B. Tindall and husband Chris of Fallston and Lisa B. Bolt and husband Paul of Kings Mountain; son, Rev. Tommy P. A native of Cherokee, he was the son of the late Marshall Gass Sr. and Lillian Blankenship Gass. He was retired from Sears after 40 years of service. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, camper and gardener. He was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Sue Harris. DAVID JONES KINGS MOUNTAIN - David Ashley Jones, 60, died May 14, + 2008, in Coden, Ala. He was a native of Duplin County, N.C., son of the late William Ashley Jones and Mattie Futrell Jones. A memorial service was held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia with Military Rites. Dr. Jerry Bron officiated. Mr. Jones served our country in the U.S. Navy for six years during the Vietham War. He also served for one year in the N.C. Army National Guard and retired as a master sergeant after twenty years of service in the N.C. Air National Guard. He was employed with BellSouth for thirty years and at the time of his death, was a project manager with the Parsons Corporation in Pascagoula, MS. Survivors include his wife - and soulmate of 24 years, Janice Allen Myers Jones; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Matt Chandler; stepson, Jamie Myers; stepdaughter, Stephanie Myers; grandchildren, Heather and Brooklyn Stewart; brothers and sister-in-law, William. and Ida Ruth Jones and Hullie Jones; and a number of nieces and nephews.
